200 for 4 grams? It's not cultivated Kinam, is it?A kyara chip from Yahoo Auctions
The origin is completely unknown, and it was a gamble buying it ($200 USD for 4g, came in a small plastic bag). I wouldn't classify this as kyara, but the squares were nice and dark, smelling of rich sweet vanilla and resin on the subitism, I'm thinking it could be high grade agarwood from Vietnam
Question for the more knowledgeable: what happens to the really oily and resinous kynam chips and squares when out or even stored for a long time? Does it dry and lose oil and room temperature aroma, but retain its potency when heated?
Definitely not cultivated, I have never seen cultivated look or smell anything like this. But it might not have been kynam, and there are no brand or origin details included, which makes people skeptical. The rich, resinous smell is undeniable though, I am happy with the gamble I made200 for 4 grams? It's not cultivated Kinam, is it?

Hiya - am I correct in thinking that Green Silani is based in Sri Lanka and more importantly - have you tried any of his oils?Wild Silani from Green Silani that smells of oil, I mean this wood simmering gives off an aroma like smelling oud oil on mbe y skin. Not even a good looking piece of wood. 15v on sub.

Or selling it as Kinam :sHeating Shoyeido Square Cut
There’s always variance from piece to piece, today it opens similar to Walla Patta,
and Philippine, but of all the Shoyeido I’ve tried (square cut, chips, granules, and kozutsu), I never smelled any Vietnamese agarwood, they must be hoarding it😀
