They are beautiful pieces. How much do you have left? I may purchase a few grams? (If you can save like 3grams for me till a couple months, I am due to pay back people and buy some thing else but I would like to try 3g).Post in thread 'Burn of the Day'

I use an absorbent pack in all my wood containers, much like the ones found in medicine bottles. What I have found is even though the resinated parts are generally immune to "moldy/stale" smells it is the "bunk" non resinated portions of the wood that are subjected to the ills of moisture. I have a batch of Malaysian wood from back in 2008 that was giving off a hint of "moldy/stale" or as you said "old chip" smell. By placing a 2g food grade desiccant pack into the container it has for all intents and purposes basically cured the issue.EO Brunei
I live that old chip smell.
I guess some oxidation takes place within the wood after so many years.
I also guess that if oudh chips are stored properly, their smell will be more preserved.
