Right now have 2 Tensei sticks on by Tennendo. I love these sticks, and when I first bought them I was blasting like 4-6 sticks every couple of hours lol, I loved them that much, now I haven't even burned them in a bit. They are very nice and gentle at 2 sticks, and I like that.. doesn't always have to be such a loud BLEND of very high quality aloeswoods all the time, that resembles Kyara-like notes, especially floral ones, although they smell quite chocolatey as well as floral, so cant compare them to my (real, old stock) Wild Yellow Kyara sticks that I have.

EDIT: Yellow Kyara is EXTREMELY floral in my eyes, with sometimes a hint of mint.

Boy these Genroku are very nice but so short! Will have to go for the 80 stick box next time.
Use them like agarwood. Put a stick on and stick in a quiet room and waft the smoke in your face every couple of seconds to minuets. Do not overuse them and use the like PREMIUM incense sticks, not daily sticks or daily premium sticks. These are high class sticks.

Am already pretty much doing this. I've only burnt two and I've had them for a week. One when I first got them and the second one tonight for NY's sexy time with the wife. Would definitely never burn these daily. Still they are short.

Yes, they are short, but have you had any other experience with Japanese sticks? These are so much thicker than normal Japanese sticks. Japanese (styled) sticks are usually very, very thin, these ones however are much thicker for being Japanese 😀. A full burn of one of these lasts me a good 30 mins. I even have normal, Japanese styled sticks, but made in China with old stock Wild Yellow Kyara, and I snapped a lot of those into like anywhere from 3.5-4 to 5.5 (6 max) inches and the bigger sized snapped ones can last 30-35mins, I think this is the materials used (Wild Kyara) in these sticks because they are very thin and last a long time. I even accidentally snapped one that I already snapped and it was around 2.5inches maximum maybe 2-2.2 and it lasted around 12-15mins. These sticks are to be appreciated with great respect. I bought 8 (7.77-8inch) sticks for £60, some tubes only have 6 for this price.

I love the Horin range, a lot, I need to burn a Genroku today, haven't burned any Horin's in a good while. I have a good collection of daily range sticks though, and 1 big box of a Daily Range premium stick (Tensei by Tennendo), and two small boxes of Gyokushodo luxury daily sticks the 沈香 - Jinkōh Yoesei (the highest end) and 沈香 - Jinkōh Hoen (the 3rd highest end) sticks. I am looking at getting Renzan next, then Sandalwood, then Kukai, then Omani Frankincense, then possibly Sandalwood and Musk (Kukai costs £102 for 450 sticks, Tensei cost £90. Kukai is the most expensive, Tensei is second). You should look at a vendor for Renzan box by Tennendo, they are £36 for either 400 or 450 sticks (I am sure it is 450) they use premium aloeswood.

Also, if you can, try coil incense, I have yet to try them, but I am planning on buying some from Kangiiten.

Right now I have some Kojurin burning away by Gyokushodo. It is just pure Indian sandalwood, spices, not sure if they have florals like the rest in this range, but possibly and possibly not. The Sandalwood is very sweet, probably the sweetest sandalwood I have ever smelled, like, ever, even from oils from Sri Lanka (which Sri Lankan s. album tends to be a bit more sweetish dry than as dry as Indian). This is quite cool tbh, because Indian Santalum. album is usually quite a dry woody sandalwood (people may argue with me, but it is a fact that the same tree grown in a different habitat will have different nuances to the aroma), so I do wonder how they made this a sweet sandalwood. It does smell like sandalwood, it has a woody aroma 100%, there is no denying that at all, but it is... sweet. Hmm. I like it!!!

Yeah dude, plenty of experience with Japanese style. I can see clearly they're much thicker than other brands that I currently. I'm not complaining about the stick..just the length. I want more of them so will be getting the bigger box next or possibly the coils.

First stick of the day (that wasn't an entry level Indian Masala stick by Satya I had in bed before fully waking) is, Kojurin by Gyokushodo's Luxury Daily Range. It is a [sweet] Indian Sandalwood, which has always confused me how they can literally get rid of the dry notes from the Indian S. album that is almost always present in Indian Sandalwood. It is quite a sweet stick, really unusual for Indian Sandalwood. It still has that woody smell, very light creaminess, mostly milky, and a dash of butteriness that is very quiet, which the sweetness takes over. I like this stick. On other incense forums (like reddit) some people can't appreciate this stick as much as I do, even though it is unusual for an Indian Sandalwood, it is unique... that is a very good thing, not something that should be regarded as "THIS ISNT TRUE SANDALWOOD STICK" or anything of the such, it still smells like sandalwood, just unusual and unique.

Jinkoh Yosei, is my current burn for the next 30 mins until I do something else for a while. The more I burn these the more I can smell the sandalwood, and the aloeswood mixed, the first time I burned these all I got was a really resinous aloeswood (not a bad thing at all), the aloeswood used is a nice Vietnamese wood, considering these are the small box of the best (or at least, more expensive) in this series by Gyokushodo, I am willing to bet it is a decent Vietnamese wood. The stick is very woody, which I think comes from the sandalwood because it is a very sandalwood type wood note, in the same range as Kojurin but the Sandalwood isn't sweet, but not fully dry either, somewhere in the middle, I reckon that is due to the aloeswoods resin note, the sandalwood really is starting to stick out in this stick the more I use it and the aloeswood and sandalwood do a dance around each other that goes from lactonic buttery woodiness of the sandalwood into the resinous, somewhat aloeswood, woodiness and other characteristics of Vietnam wood, since vietnam wood can go from sweet, leathery, and sour in notes when burned, this stick is more on the sweet and sour level, as far as I can tell. Maybe I am crazy though, but you do get a slight tinge of leather. EDIT: Actually, I do think leather is present more than I originally think.

Very complex stick, might order a bigger box of 200 odd sticks.
