I will highly recommend TaoistYu on Etsy. He carries a large variety of kyara and agarwood and sandalwood sticks, plenty of blends to choose from. Also some really nice Chinese recipe sticks. I’ve personally been loving the aged white kyara x insect hole agarwood. Great prices and sample sizes for everything. You should know most of it is cultivated but the seller is very straightforward about the origins and quality of his products.

Edit to add that he does occasionally carry wild and collector grade sticks. I’ve seen him put together custom packages for those who message him with those selections so he may have some unlisted items. And he ships from the US.
Very few sticks contain kyara. The Fun-in stick I burned last night is called Kyara, but for the price, around $100?, there's no way.

Oh the sticks Rex is taking about are cultivated Kyara, a sort of plague in the incense stick community. I've tried enjoying them in stick form on countless occasions and just can't seem to get into them. Heated CK is beautiful perhaps even on a burnt out charcoal but in incense sticks and being burned ... NOPE

Xuanhe Palace of Song
Great stick, so my type all awesome agarwood notes along with musk and ambergris just so good!
I can’t wait to try Palace of Song, it’s due to arrive next week, so for now I lit EID 2025,
yummm, and I like how the scent lingers.

I asked KZ which had more musk, he said Song has slightly more than EID, but he also said the vibe of the musk is different, it is more animalic in EID, and more powdery in Song. He must have referred to the musk before he blended it into the stick, because I think it would be difficult to differentiate the musk when lit, but I will do a side by side when my Song arrives.

I know you like the Eid edition, I bid you will like the Palace of Song more.

Awesome store, and I selected several items I thought would be nice but the shipping is just too much. On a 150 CAD order, the shipping was 100 CAD and the higher my order went, the higher the shipping went ....
If that's the case, I won't even bother looking as I can imagine shipping to OZ will be the same if not more.

Ouch! Maybe message the seller to make sure that’s correct. If you’re ordering a lot of small items, sometimes the shipping algorithm starts stacking like crazy. Some sellers have been able to fix it for me in the past.

I just found this maker from Hong Kong called Yi Chen Incense. there are about 4 different agarwood incenses and some other things like sandalwood and florals. It seems to be new. Is their agarwood incense good ? The prices are pretty good but I would like to sample it before getting larger amounts.
Link?

KyazaZen - Dreams of Merauke - man this incense, I've used it so often that the concept of agarwood scent is tied to it. Cereal grains toasted lightly with hints of dense green forests, the smoke feels wispy and light yet dense, as if the oud resin itself is being evaporated 🤤Incredible sticks, even more so for the price, I'm sitting here, being bathed in the gentle yet powerful smoke, in that it sticks to hair and clothes like nothing else (perhaps with the exception of good Hindi woods). Today's stick is particularly rich in smoke, but get this, the smoke isn't irritating to the eyes or remotely hot feeling. An absolute banger, a production worth of labelling as legendary, sometimes I wonder, is there anything in these sticks I don't like, nada, I can't think of anything.

I was lucky enough to score the last roll. Patiently waiting for it to clear customs.

You've achieved a great score there Rex! Can't wait to hear your thoughts when you've had a chance to sit with a stick or two 🙂

I almost never burn oud before bed time, that time is reserved for sandalwood but no time of the day is the wrong time for these sticks.

Extruder is so simple and straightforward! Nice video

KyaraZen - Dreams of Fragrant Harbour - half a stick I left from an earlier session, it's been ages since I've had this HK wood. An airy incense which smells like minty oranges to my nose, not strongly of oranges though. It's in the same family as Dreams of Hai-nan and has hints of that Fu-sen Red Soil like aroma, that cooling incense-y quality, wafting a bit you're hit with a scent which sorta reminds me of some Hindi woods on coal, and a hint of good quality cultivated green kyara oil.
