Would you please share your possible projects? What are you going to distill? Agarwood, Sandalwood, or flowers?
Agarwood is the main reason I brought this one by recommendation of my brother @Royalbengalouds Ismail .. as I am discussing with him about distiller for my lab he recommended to me this beautiful cooper distiller ...
And my first project will be in this is planted agarwood from Malaysia , already trees are nine years old and properly enucleated and ready to harvest after that sandelwood , patchouli from Indonesia as well insha'Allah .. hope my experiment goes well .. I need best wishes from my ouddict brother and if they like to share any knowledge can help me I would definitely like to listen and follow 🙂

Excited for these.

Hopefully you guys plan to age it and release a well settled oil.

Question:
Is the material for malinau same as the previous malinau oil released a recent while back from iO? Or same oil i procured privately via Faisal some months back?

And what about the philipino? Tawi Tawi? Mindenao or... is the profile like the square chips you guys sold that had a good bit of white pepper and touch more horsy animalic note? Or more sweet honeyed and little to no green like sulaweisi?

The Phil. wood is from Mindanao and is also currently under distillation.
see wood and current yield below. note: the Phil. project has been running a longer than the Malinau.

may all goes well for you and the team and may you capture otherworldy aromas and notes in these oils.

Also to add my two pence, ive smelt oils which have used incolcation and boy do they smell terrible. I feel strongly against using nails, drillings holes and injecting chemicals into a tree i find it very unethical and cruel. Al Shareef in your experience do trees which are nailed, drilled , injected produce inferior oils with a debunked scent? from my experience oil from injecting trees smells terrible, i cant comment on drilling or nails as i cant be sure which one of the oils i have have used these methods pre-disitillation
I admire you for saying this and heartened that some people feel this way. And I can't agree more. Especially when there is so much talk of agarwood being about healing. It pains me to see photos and videos of trees being tortured. Let them have a little life. Tiny fish we throw back. (My order from you arrived and it is sublime. The most tactile and fragrant wood I've ever beheld and I haven't even burned it. Oh dear, I don't know if I'm a hypocrite!)
