guys how is jing shen lu?
smell?
quality?
performance?
Respected Hassam, Jing Shen Lu is a nice Thai Oud oil.
Fruity by birth, but age factor has added some heavy notes i.e. beans, chocolate, silage. Quality wise it is superb, no doubt. But its being cultivated is evident in its notes. Longevity is nice, and ,yes, it has fascinating aura that attracts others to appreciate its sweet aroma.

Oud Yusuf (Trat, Thai) has been appreciated a lot. But this Jing Shen Lu (Kaho Ram Kam, Trat, Thai) is quality wise better and performance wise much better. Both are Trat and Thai, but Jing Shen Lu is more than Trat and Thai; therefore I like it.
If someone likes fruity oils, he/ she would definitely enjoy it.

PS: I can't appreciate the dry down of Thai oud oils at all. Raw meat, wet hena'a (mehndi), Cotton seed oil extraction. Putting aside this dry down, its first three to five hours are beautiful.

I tried ASO Layth just now. Courtesy a small sample from a friend Dr Nikhil.
Its tenacious and very long lasting. I had the opportunity to try Qais and a contemporary Borneo oil ( now sold out) both from ASO and I found in both these oils a refined ruggedness, butch quality which I liked. Layth isn't rugged like that but nice spiciness enhances the beauty of this oil.

Hi friends, My asaq 150 year old kalakassi oud oil bought from their Dubai Mall flagship store two years back has become decidedly thick because of oxidation. And as I revisited this oil after a very long time I guess now it smells even better. Its like a marmalade made from antique/old wood, honey and lime. Smells good. Any thoughts on this oil?
