As I said earlier, in Islam, the criteria for prohibition is intoxicants, that is, all those things that make you lose control over your mind and make you say or do things that you later regret since you weren’t in your true senses.

Try writing an exam that decides your career in such a state or try appearing before court for a parking ticket in such a state. Other common examples - Foul language, obscene behaviour, Drunk driving.

Tobacco doesn’t make you lose your senses & act in ways you’re not supposed to. The prohibition comes on tobacco as soon as it starts to cause you health problems. Same for all other things that cause harm to your health.
Generally speaking, seed oils, sugar is something you consume. There’s no prohibition in that. It’s your free will how much you want to consume. Many people die due to illnesses caused by sadness, so do want a law that prohibits feeling sad?

We don’t know truth by men but men by truth. That is how Islam works.
To add an important point, if Islam says XYZ is wrong, you as a person (who doesn’t follow Islam) don’t have to justify that XYZ is right.

just like some oud oils, I could see 99% of people have real bad reactions smelling them but it doesn’t make it bad!! Usually means they have little experience with them! There are some even I didn’t like at first till I got to know it.

Dear Brother, I am not going to experience alcohol to know what it feels like if it’s prohibited in the 1st place. I know what it does and how it affects people. Having that knowledge, combined with the prohibition (due to its harmful nature) is more than enough for me to stay away from it.
You should not compare oud oil (something you apply) with drugs & alcohol (something you ingest). An unjust comparison.
