His 2020 batch must be out of stock but he has a 2024 batch from the same distiller & smells just like 2020 minus the aged appeal.

His Khus flows in extremely smooth & refined, an indication that it was cleaned & washed well prior to distillation (No dirty earth notes)
It has a menthol like coolness and spearmint like sweetness (Well balanced & no sharp notes)
It’s complex, long lasting & even luxurious when compared to commercial Khus.
Has a beautiful glistening emerald tone (I’ve noticed the better smelling Khus are emerald & not bottle green or brown)

Commercial houses can’t achieve such a profile as they need an enormous amount of supply.
Thank you brother for the information and beautiful description, I won’t lie I actually like the “dirty” notes in ruh khus, but I’d like to try the one from Annajwa as it seems very suitable for summer from your description.

The PB oil is worth getting just because it really reminds me of the best i have smelled over the years. Fraterworks also have a rose "ultimate extract" which is extracted from the flowers leftover post-distillation. It is very thick, viscous like vetiver, deep brownish red, jammy and very rosy with some unusual accessory notes. Also quite cheap because it is from waste. It is not "ultimate" in the sense of the best but "ultimate" as in the final thing that can be extracted after the whole process.
Such an unusual product and scent, I’d love to get my hands on it one day. I feel this + a light sweet Oud’s would mix nicely. Or with a rose oil fronm the same species to get the full rose experience.

I added some to a rose blend with Bulgarian otto + absolute, and An Najwa Hasayan otto. Did not test it systematically in this context - this is a one-off unrecorded blend so i can't be certain of its impact but I do think it added some weight to the scent - reinforcing the scent of the absolute.

Just received samples of Alnamir and Alhind Dhahab (@Habz786 / habzoud oils). Too early to review since i am testing my own fragrances today and won't be able to study these in isolation for a bit. They are smelling like rich heavy duty oud from the dipsticks 100%

I forgot the eye candy. Even though you can't read much from a liquid in the bottle it's nice to have the pictures…

A bunch of Thai oud samples, some from ancient trees. + MAMY ruh khus 1, Malik shmama, ruh gulab, and 5 attars from ML Ramnarain.

And in another package 4 Hindi chips samples from imphal and nagaland, and hindi+burmese oud oils. From a new dealer (fingers crossed hoping it’s not painted plywood)

I’ll review these when they arrive inshallah
Indian oud arrived.
Absolute garbage, I ordered all from their catalogue which clearly labeled the ouds as triple super. I received one that wasn’t graded, two double super, and one vvip whatever that means.
They were all trash, they didn’t even bother to clean up the glue and extra wood off the painted plywood. The oud oils either didn’t smell like anything or smelled like sweaty butt. The seller is “Subur Perfume”, they have a shop in the UAE I believe that’s where they shipped from.
I’ve now contacted them and asked for a return and refund, due to all the very valid reasons I just spoke about.
Also the videos they sent me of the product wasn’t the same as the wood I received, not even close, not in color, texture, sound, or general shape.

Here’s some photos

Thai Oud’s just arrived and I’m enjoying reviewing and picking them. The distiller seems to be leaning to new gen type distillations and scents more suitable to the European audience. Zero barn in all of them, some of them have the what I call “factory smell” which is hard to describe, it’s the scent of newly distilled oud, kind of metallic, sharp, and gives a headache if you sniff too hard.
One of them if I recall has the vanilla sweetness that Chinese Ouds have.

He sells Trat yellow and red, my theory is that it’s the same distillation, but he sells the first fraction by itself and the second and third together, hence the difference in smell and color, one is slightly cloudy yellow, and the other is a nice sesame oil deep orange/red.

I’ll continue trying them oud and I’ll post a review inshallah.

Royal Lubaan from Al Shareef the perfect gift for the holidays of Chanukah AND Christmas 😁
I got some of this as well. Its my first time buying any physical incense resin. I am surprised how strong the aroma eminating from it is, and when you burn it how it melts away and releases even more its amazing. Can't really compare it to other incense resins as its my first experience but this seems to be a very high quality one

That sounds amazing! Al Shareef is known for their excellent quality and from what I’ve experienced from them i completely agree!

Hmmm so murasaki you bought ? It was a gift from my own stash. Same goes for the unreleased Cambodi(i dont want to bash you or something or spread around i gave you off this) U flying my brother 🙂 enjoy but dont spread lies as if you got nothing extra for the sake of free samples, please. Hit and run as if you know our finances ? I dont seem to remember i shared our finances with you. I just seem to remember you placed an order for this amount. Same as brother Mesoud? , bro u better go to a doctor please, i say this as someone who smellt all his oils(lovely ofc). As for the collaboration, the technique used has not been used before by us nor brother Mesoud, so u could not smell the collab style oil in these oils, not even if it would be distilled with the same method, because you have not bought a aq. cumingiana oil from us, another thing u subjectively think but in reality it is much different. Next time u should buy samples of the vendors u spend cash on instead of 1+ grams or full bottles, nobody holds a gun to your face and pressures you to buy, remember ?And most of the time a vendor sends free samples out of his or hers own generosity, i have never seen a customer ask or expect free samples lol. Never have i not sent anything but never have i got a complaint about not getting free samples also. Before seeing this thread i also pmed you but nonetheless. Enjoy the oils !
I just happened to stumble upon this post because I was searching something else. I bought one oil from Yusa and he sent me two generous samples. Not like the other big vendor not on this forum. Yusa’s samples quantity was like something you get when you purchase a 0.3 gr. Also same with AlhindOud. Brother Anas sent me like more than 4 samples if I remember correctly. Brother mesOud’s pours are very generous. These vendors here has quality nothing short of others. Top notch. Yet they are very approachable and humble.

So my budget purchase is not nearly as impressive as others, but I just placed my first order with Eden Botanicals, and am awaiting many samples. I've been tincturing Tibetan deer musk for about 9 months now, and its time for me to start figuring out what I'm going to do with it. Mysore sandalwood is high on my list, but I need to do more research before I make that jump (right now debating among Al Shareef, Mesoud, Rising Phoenix, and CraftOud offerings). For now, I just need some basic familiarization with some common scents. This is what I have on the way:

Agarwood Tiny Sample (6 drops)
Sandalwood - Plantation Grown 1 ml
Sandalwood By-Absolute 1 ml
Sandalwood, New Caledonia 1 ml
Rose CO2 - Organic Tiny Sample (6 drops)
Rose Absolute, Bulgaria 1 ml
Rose de Mai Absolute 1 ml
Jasmine Absolute, India 1 ml
Jasmine CO2 1 gram
Jasmine Sambac Absolute 1 ml
Butter CO2 Sample (1 ml)
Labdanum Absolute, Clear - 10% Sample (1 ml)
Bergamot - Organic Sample (1 ml)
Geranium, Africa - Organic Sample (1 ml)
Myrrh CO2 - Organic Sample (1 ml)
Frankincense, Oman Sample (1 ml)
