Smells so Oud
That would be very much appreciated mate, thank you.
That's brilliant! Thank you! I'm liking the sound of the Triple Happiness the most I'm thinking.Ok - warming sun is a distilled plantation sinensis. If you like that bright tangy, somewhat bitter medicinal sinensis profile this is an oil you might like. I got some a while ago and it is aging nicely. I get ambergris vibes as well as it dries down.
I hate to be negative but their low end cultivated sinensis co2 oils are very dull, heavy, kind of waxy scent with the “salivary notes” 🤢 kyarazen wrote about. Zenpath and the “double happiness” sinensis co2 are like this. They might be great for blending, and if you put a dab and forget about it, it settles into something pretty pleasant and sweet, but they really are not my favorite (and apologies to Trent for that). The “triple happiness” wild is a quality select sinensis co2 with a punch closer to that of distilled oils - kinam like and violet / floral notes - but with a great lingering thick base that lasts a long time and settles down to an aroma I associate with heated kinam wood.
The “peated oud” co2 extract is interesting but skanky. Still, if you were wondering what happens when you co2 extract oud after a long soak it might be for you. It blurs some line between cheesy lao, fermented hainan, and sinensis co2 oil with plenty of related barniness.
The other oils that are cultivated, I think you would really have to smell them because they are all tweaked to emphasize slightly different aspects. They bring to mind many much more expensive oils, but at the same time they often smell young / cultivated. There is a sample set of the plantation oils - for me the one in that set it out was “warming sun”.
That’s all I’ve got off the top of my head here
If you have sampled sinensis and cultivated kinam extracts and distillates, you will not be surprised i think. I like applying a tiny little dab, and then forgetting about it and giving it time to transition to its amazing dry down. That's brilliant! Thank you! Haven't tried any of them yet. I see Al Shareef has a CK Oud which sounds absolutely incredible. If you have sampled sinensis and cultivated kinam extracts and distillates, you will not be surprised i think. Oh shit, really?I have tried that one and it's one of the worst oils I have tried. I have never met anyone else who likes it either. No offense to Al Shareef because he has good oils generally, but that was a total miss for me.
Break a little frankincense and try chew it! This royal Hojari is really nice.I had to take advantage of the sulaym Black Friday deal and the ultima sample and frankincense and CK (Fun fact: it will be my first real frankincense experience). Especially their lower priced oils are very tempting so I ordered some Bandarban
I will try that too 😉Break a little frankincense and try chew it! This royal Hojari is really nice.
It's quite astounding how long the flavor lasts. I've also enjoyed adding a teardrop to a large bottle of water, throw it into the fridge, and after a couple of hours enjoying it that wayI will try that too 😉
I'm really glad to hear that Obada! I have yet to wear a full swipe of the oil, most I've done is three delicate drops, usually a single drop, sometimes what's on the applicator's neck is enough for an evening's wearing.@Ahmaoud it was because of you I went for Bandarban. Your review sounded like what I am looking for
