What is the theme of Jannatul Firdaus? I think I asked this one before but I don’t recall the answer. Thank you
This is a very good question and like the Al Ghaliyah there are many point of views, but the correct is, Jannat Al Firdaous according to Islamic tradition is the highest abode in paradise.

So why is this genre of fragrance or the first one called Jannat Al Firdaous? A Sufi mystic had a experience, Haal, where the Sufis believe the soul has out of world experiences. In this experience he has entered Jannat Al Firdaous. When he came back to the worldly senses, he composed the scent as a representation of what he had smelt. Hence why he named it Jannat Al Firdaous.

Who was this mystic, some say it was Fariduddin Al Attar, who himself was a perfumery/alchemist. I do remember reading a name in my days as a student, but I can't recall who it was.

The colour was green, it has Basil. This particular fragrance, whilst we have many old formulas including the Al Ghaliyah, Jannat Al Firdaous we don't have because as it has been narrated the mystic didn't give out the formula. God knows best.

I have found what looks to me a pretty good "shop" on AliExpress. The shop is called NineRegions. They seem to have a very good range of mostly agarwood products, some for excellent wholesale prices. Cultivated Kynam and all sorts of stuff. I'm doing a test run buy from them so I have coming what they are calling 100% Pure Genuine Chinese Kinam incense clouds and a 10g tube of Kinam pressed incense sticks. Really hoping this is the real deal but if not I haven't lost too much money. Has anyone else bought from this shop?

I bought various incense and cultivated kinam several times from NineRegions. I haven't talked with the owner personally but I can say their quality is pretty decent.

Can't wait for these to come as well as my Solid Eye I posted. The yellow sticks are made with old stock Wild Yellow Kyara, you get 6 around 7-8inch sticks, I am going to break 3 into 3 quarters and 3 into halves, this is what the seller told me that is the best and most sensible thing to do. Then use the nubs that don't get burned at the end of the stick in the low grade electric heater. I have 2 wee nubs of pressed cultivated sinking white kynam sticks I got from this guy to be used on the heater also. The Horin are meant to be some of the highest grade aloeswoods that don't break the bank, Genroku is made with very old aloeswood and the sticks are super small, and the KyaraZen sticks are a limited edition. These aren't daily sticks you just put on as much as you want and as they're burning do whatever you are doing, for me it would be on my PC, I use my daily incense sticks for that. These are premium sticks to be used the same way you would use agarwood. In a more ritualised way and listen to the notes of the incense.

EDIT: Also, Tea Gurus White Cultivated Kynam is another thing I forgot to put in, I am excited for these, 5grams only cost me like£20-21, and these are the exact chips I am getting.

The order is here and if I have to give a vendor packaging of the year, it would go to Sulaym for sure. These slider boxes and pouches are of high quality and the wood, metal stamped 3gr bottles are amazing.
I didnt try every vendor on ouddict so dont hate me if you put effort in your packaging and I didnt appreciate it yet 😉 Anyway I know that a lot of vendors dont really care about this and focus more on their oils and products. Just wanted to mention it because I can appreciate the work that went in such boxes or bottles (design, trials and production)
See you on oud of the day for Bandarban

That pouch and matching box are gorgeous! I'm very curious what you think about the sample? I was sent the same and I'm the worst at describing. It was a little 'barn' but the barn gave it depth, strangely enough.

Another shipment from perfumers supply house. they have a pretty unique collection of materials from very reputable sources. When I need natural isolates or certain materials that are often adulterated or that the big guys do best, this is my first choices.

Patchoulol, coumarin, tonka, ambrette seed abs, bergamot, nerol, citronellol, natural ambroxide, and samples of galbanum, clove bud and linalyl acetate. All of the chemicals are natural isolates

Patchoulol isolate is such nice stuff. Diluted and applied to the skin it reminds me of borneo oud a little bit. It is not a substitute for patchouly, but it is in itself an amazing, super smooth fragrance.

That natural isolate anbroxide is so nice. i’m having a hard time bringing myself to use it because it feels like cheating. Mainly because I’ve smelled so much of the synthetic version of this overdosed in people’s fragrances at the mall. My plan is to create a substitute for ambergris using a small amount of this with a few other natural materials to round it out.

I personally don’t give a *%#¥ about vegan perfume but for this first couple of blends I’m working on I am keeping them vegan for both cost purposes and because I think this will appeal to a cross-section of the clientele of the market I working with
