Got myself a box of the KZ limited edition Mysore sandalwood sticks and a 3g bottle of the purple ky-nam. Life is good....or will be when they arrive in 3 or so weeks.
I got the same thing as you, even the purple kynam, I think its my favourite from Kangiiten!!! The sticks are very fragile, so be careful with them, VERY careful. But ones that snap can still be burned if they are not too small and ones that get snapped into tiny bits you can crush up and put on heater, I did that with all the tiny pieces I broke off 🙁 but I now have tons of powder haha and had like 20+ unhurt sticks anyway and a few sticks just a little short that last aroudn 12-20 mins. I would use these sticks as a premium stick and waft it to your face as if you are burning.

I'm wait on deer musk maceration from etsy. Looking amazing

Have you heard good things about their products? As a personal rule of thumb, I always inquire about the percent musk used in the maceration, which is missing from this listing. Information on the oil used is also missing, usually it's a sandalwood oil, or in some cases oud, but just calling it oil is a tad bit strange. Musk macerations aren't huge projectors either, being a heavier base note, it'll have good longevity but I'd be surprised if it were to "project far" as listed.

The resident artisans on the forum are the only folks I'd ever purchase musk macerations from, they list the oil used, the percentage of musk in the maceration, and the age. Folks like @YusaAromatics @mesOUD @NinjaRobb @Ulugbek Abdumominov . I feel that in some ways musk is more allusive than oud is these days. If you're looking for a Ghaliya with genuine musk I'd check out @An Najwa @RisingPhoenix @Al Shareef Oudh , loads of choices of the authentic stuff before I'd turn to etsy for musk.

It's 35%. I've heard good things about them.

I believe the person who sells these oils is on the forum. I was talking with him not long ago I believe.

Got a small package from Eden today!
Lavender oils, labdanum, oak moss, clary oil and absolute, and a handful of samples including amyris, yuzu, patchouli, balsam peru, etc.

My perfumes have sold out (!) so i have some work to do…

I currently have a line of four different perfumes in the shop: two are Amber based, one is an old school distilled eau de cologne, the other is a jasmine scent. I have a lineup of other fragrances in development (Oud, sandalwood, various florals using some of the vintage and contemporary materials i have collected.

I am not vending through the forum or online at this point - i am only selling via a brick and mortar shop in upstate NY. If I have ongoing success, and can reinvest and increase my batch sizes, i will eventually sell online and consider registering here as a vendor. Honestly, a place to have frank discussions about fragrance is more important to me than a place to sell things, so my inclination is to keep all of my commercial stuff out of ouddict. I am hoping to set up an informational website and blog (also not for selling things directly) and will post a link here when it is done.

Until that time, out of respect for those who are paying to run this place, I am not doing any personal sales.

I’m happy to share ideas about perfuming with fellow enthusiasts however

Wow man, never tried sticks? Well, you can't not go down that road. If made well they're beautiful piece of this scent picture we all love. You can absolutely find very nice "cheap" Indian style sticks with the traditional bamboo core but there are also a lot of terrible ones. In saying this you don't need to spend a lot if you start with the cheaper "every day" Japanese style from Shoyeido. These can get quite expensive but you get a good number of them to play with. One of the things I like about Shoyeido is that some of the receipes they use are hundreds of years old! You can literally smell what people from old Japan were smelling. Blows my little mind lol. KZ's options I believe just from the look of them to be outstanding. Where di you get your CK chunks from?

Oh, no worries mate. I would like to talk to you about perfume making as I am going to start making them in a few months this video; https://www.instagram.com/p/Cvy0vC8IH9n/ inspired me and showed me it was quite easy, and I have 350+ grams of sandalwood powder from Mysore, started off with 420, and I can get Sri Lankan sandalwood 3ml for £20 and 6ml for £40, and I think mixing the two (even tho they are from the same species of tree than in India, they have slightly different smells due to soil, weather conditions etc) will be quite interesting, and I am not gonna add just a few drops of the oil my first perfume I am going to add 1ml rouighly, with 15grams of sandalwood powder. If you can message me (I am having double vision episodes quite frequently lately, having one now so It would be great if you can message me first) I could learn things from you 😀

I will message you for sure, but I think it might be in the interest of this community if we held that discussion in a public forum. I’m all about trying to keep this place lively.

My good friend just sent me a VIP sinking kinam co2 oil that he said crystallized. I wonder why. But I can’t wait to get this oil he said it is the best grade ck he has ever ran through co2
