Heavier scent it is.

Respected Tyson, I feel people think that white ambergris is better than the rest of ambergris. Is it a reality, or again a matter of preference that I could never ever understand.
i dont think white is really better i guess it depends on what you like , most people wont be able to smell the white if its mixed with anything , its smell is not fecal or potent its a refined ocean smell . Its meant to act as a crystal for the other scent and refracts them adding a dimentional quality to them and also functional as the resin/oils/waxes sit on the skin allowing the other scents to stay around longer. With how i extract the amber i get a substance that looks much like honey and same consistency, it disolves very well into essential oils. Next time just for me im going to take 1.5 grms of the amber "honey resin" white and add it to 1.5 grams of mysore oil . With 50% amber you can smell the white alot and its longevity is brilliant . Makes for one very expensive 3 gram attar but wow its soo amazing. I dont think id really understand ambergris if i did not do my alcohol extraction method and see exactly whats in it . then you an really smell what its all about , i have 2 kinds right now that i was playing with and the fecal scented one i think is much better for mixing into attars at low % as some of its smells carry though , the white will not be dectable to the average nose in the same way unless its very high percentage, so it becomes a functional ingredient rather than a smell . I think both have there place and id use both . But for me id rather use crazy high perentage white ambergris in a small amount of sandal perhaps with some flower essence . With refining the amber into its resin "honey" you lost 25% to non soluble partiles that ould be up or down but lets say 25% . That makes white ambergris cost about 30-50 a gram , so if your adding that at 50% into sandal its quite expensive . This is the ultimate ambergis experience though if you like ambergris and you can really smell it not like almost all products out there ive smelled . Cost always a limiting factor especially when it comes to anything mass produced. I might have to list a few bottles down the road of 50% mysore 50 % amber honey, then people can truely guage what it really is

Maceration: Tinsukia Assamese Oud (IO's)+Siberian & Tibetan Musk+Mysore Sandal+Omani Frankincense (JK's)

1. Oceanic Depth
2. Prismatic Notes
3. Solemnity and Serenity Incarnation

Assamese Oil's dynamism, Mysore Sandal's delicacy, Frankincense' sparkle, and above all Musk's being all- mysterious have cast their spell.

Yet I miss Kashmiri Musk.

My own admixture of Oudmarket.uk Malaysia Aged (which is a fine oud, just rather sharper and greener than my normal preference), with an all-natural hippie perfume I got at the market last weekend consisting of champaca, amyris wood, and coconut. The perfume smooths and lightens the oud and the oud anchors the ethereality of the perfume. The coconut is extremely subtle, nearly undetectable. I'm very pleased with this combination.

Kai Un Koh from Mellifluence Attars. A pleasingly calm aroma. I also burned two inches of Baieido's Kai Un Koh, which was the inspiration for the attar from Abdullah. It seems lately I'm enjoying attars with myrrh more (not that I didn't like that heavenly aroma before).

Speaking of incense I can't wait for KZ's Jinkoh Tenpyo to arrive. 🙂

@tyson's Hojari Vanilla attar. Just received yesterday and it's like a colour photograph of frankincense after having only experienced it in black and white until now. If you smell in colour this is super bright neon chartreuse. Brilliant, citrusy, almost cleaning-product-like out of the bottle, but then the incense note becomes more dimensional after a few minutes. Fascinating and deeper than one might expect. No detectable vanilla that I notice, but that's okay, there's plenty to keep my nose happy. 🙂

Hope within a couple of days, I will receive the package having this very oil and Mysore Santal that I really love. I am anxious to have vanilla bliss in this oil. No doubt, Frankincense by Tyson is great.

Thanks for the review , ive decided not to distill the frank with the vanilla beans anymore and instead add vanilla caviar to the oil and let it sit and blend over time . I think this give more vanilla scent to the mix. Always room to make it better , the citusy and terpentine notes im also learning how to reduce and highten the incense note . To do this i have to heat up the still with just water and then when its up to temp i add the frank and just do a short distillation , then i can reduce the lemon/lime/orange note till almost background , and really bring up the heart of the frank the incense note thats like pop rocks and champane with a fizz to it. Its taken me alot of batches of frank to really get an understanding of what i want from it. I know i dont like the full spectrum long distillation , some may but its not for me . Id rather sacrifice yeild for beauty.

Just to be clear, when I compared the topnote to cleaning product, I meant that in a good way. Honest! :Roflmao:

Celestial Gold: Mysore Santal by Tyson: I am a blessed one that I have this particular Santal. Angelic beauty! Not even an iota of doubt that it might be diluted, or low grade wood might be included when the oil was being distilled. No third party involved. Not offered by a vendor. So, above question is its value and worth.

This is the only oil, including Oud and Santal, that I have not even a remotest idea to macerate Musk in it because it is in itself a complete Santal Oil. There is another oil, Oud Oil, that I wear without dabbing Musk or some attar or think to macerate Musk.

The best among the best. It won't let me sleep tonight. 'Allahumma lakal hamd valakal shukr'- this is unbearably beautiful Santal.
