Attar Ansaar by @Tabeer_Oud

Beautiful sultry Jasmine on a dark musky base. This one feels very traditional, dense, dark and perfect for night time.
The slightly metallic and deep sweet notes from Mysore Sandalwood oil make it very smooth and delicious. A simple yet very sensual blend where the quality of individual ingredients shine bright.
The Jasmine in this is quite dense but without any indolic notes, makes it a really comforting attar.

pheromone intense and king saud by scent talks

king saud is nice, it reminds me of a specific ghaliya that costs much more. the structure is very much of a high quality resinous, incensy and sweet oud, that the musk and supporting elements help to structure and add depth.

pheromone intense- i thought this was going to be a musk bomb naturally. i believe this is the best gourmand cafe/coffee attar i have smelled. it sits, in my opinion, perfectly between the two heavyweights i’ve smelled in this category- elixir attars mythique and sultan pashas tabac grande. mythique is lovely but too decadent and chocolatey for more regular wear, though also incredible in its own right the sweetness and overly gourmand quality makes it that i only reach for it on special occasions. tabac grand i absolutely love but sometimes sultan pashas use of synthetics makes the notes drone on a bit for me-but one of his best compositions. more atmospheric than mythique which focuses on the coffee and sweets

pheromone intense really hits the coffee note perfectly, not too bitter or sweetened and gourmand, that’s a really tough accord to pull out. the musk makes it smell more alive and it hums with a slightly smokey note that never goes acrid. there is background notes of tobacco and resinous oud incense qualities. this is a masterpiece in my opinion

Scent Talks - Khaltat Madinah

I wanted to follow up Malay Candan with a powerful blend before bed.

It opens with the warm sensualness of the animalic musk. Very earthy and rich scent. Then the Roman chamomile and tuberose provide a beautiful floral and slight herbaceous nuance. The pink lotus provides a powdery spiciness. The Jasmine sambac does some gentle yet powerful floral notes in the background. It’s such a well-rounded and amazing blend.

S. Muhammad Ayub Md. Yaqub Super Malik Shamama (a mouthful) today - free sample from somewhere. Its patchouli vetivery earthy green up top. Mellows pretty quick, but overall still seems enjoyable. I'm sure there's other things goin on in here, but seems well blended into one coherent blend. Not my normal route, don't know much of the house, but it smells natural enough. Seems a pain to source so I need to track down who sent it 😀
next time i go to india will try to get some for yall

A nice SQ mukhallat I picked up recently. It reminds me of Amouage's Homage to a degree. It opens with neon acid: pink pink pink taif bolstered by jasmine and dark fumes underneath it all. As the piercing notes start to calm down, there's a strong, orangey-lemony amber that has some oudy--sweet-Cambodi facets. I'm reminded of Amouage's "Silver Oud" base, which is not the more recent Silver Oud perfume, but the base that is in Homage. Four hours later there's a dusty, bakhoor-like aroma.

And now this evening: one spray of Elixir Attar's Gold Man, a small swipe of Chinese out, bit of Zabad al Qamr, and dot of Kashan rose.

Very sweet and heavy florals. The oud musk and amber combination give fumes of chocolate, smoke, hay, roasting coffee, tobacco and petrichor. The saffron beautifully compliments the inherent spice notes of the ingredients, the composition is not only very animalic but also Indolic. Out in the desert heat, I get notes of leather and rubber with the spices of, from my understanding assam oud. The florals in the composition have a slight fruity note to them as well, along with some soapiness? I hope someone more knowledgable could point out what's going on here. Musky florals return when I find reprise from the heat, albeit with waxy nuance and salty notes from the ambergris i believe. Heavy, balanced and layered, @p$yl35h 's tip of using an oud oil along with it gives way to a really soothing experience.

interesting. did you get my bottle of PI perhaps?

I found it a bit too dominant on the pissy, feral notes. I knew it would get better with ~6mo sitting on the shelf but didn't bother to wait as I don't love coffee notes. I probably would look upon it differently today.

@An Najwa green gazelle

Should probably be called Khus Maliki or something like it to clarify its superiority. One of the best khus based creations I have put my nose on.

Starts with fresh vetiver opening minus metallic or dirty notes. Underscored by restrained white florals carried by musk. There is some warmth and the effect feels like rummy boozy raisins with saffron hits. The khus stays fresh and lively for a long time and dries into sweetness.

Its just a perfect creation.

This is one of the best floral attars I have ever tried. It’s light yet imposing. Soft and not sharp or harsh. The white lotus and red champaca are used brilliantly here and give off a beautiful aroma. But I think it’s the SQ Bakhoor absolute that ties it all together. It plays quietly in the background. I can’t stress enough how the floral bouquet feels airy and lightweight but the scent is sustained throughout the wear. Also, there is this clean and fresh aquatic, ozonic scent that plays well with the florals. One can only guess what’s under the hood powering all of this. Amazing attar!
