Red, I mean Red Hawaiian sandalwood from islandspicehawaii.com. Hard to get my head around the color.
[Ouddict.com] Burn of the Day

Ensar's vintage hindi gift is poignant for the HANG TIME. It has a deep dark pitted sour cherry silage that I really enjoy.

But now I'm curious about what makes a wild oud vintage? I mean aren't all wild agarwoods vintage? Are we talking storage and if so how long? Or is it a type of storage? Should I be burying all my woods in a ground vault or cistern?

Last question if anyone will indulge me, how is Assam different from Hindi?

Assam is a region, renown for the highest quality, Hindi to me implies a more traditional Indian oil but not necessarily so I guess. Vintage woods picked 15 years ago from trees that were indubitably older and better quality resins. Older wood is considered better just because of when it was harvested and the quality of that time period.

It's described as chunk Agarwood, "Jinkoh", 5g/$100pkg Japan Incense. The first one i got is awesome in my opinion, the wood is highly resinous with a honey colored oil that smells heavenly.
I just got mine in the mail. I didn't even open. All I smell is baby powder. I am going to call them tomorrow and beg to return. I am so confused. Did you get talcum powder as well?

Good luck. The second two I received weren't what I had ordered.
Was the outer paper wrapping the same color as with your first purchase? I am wondering🧐, is it an error, or a decline in quality?
The item numbers for the Shoyeido Boku (chips/chunks) are as follows in order from the lesser grade to the higher grade:
314111 (Ume)
314211 (Take)
314311 (Matsu)
Gokuhin not included

I'm so upset I might lose my mind. I will return immediately. I didn't even open the scent was so cloying. I got a headache. I guess they are closed today. GRRRRRRRR. I e-mailed, phoned, there answering machine doesn't have an outgoing message it just hung up on me mid-message. If I have to fly to San Francisco and picket them I will. I also ordered 3 tiny pieces of incense smaller than a finger nail. So pleasant outside the wrapper compared to the agarwood.

Is this vendor reputable or not?
How come the nervousness?
