Burn of the Day

[Mr.P]

I like the sound smell of that!

[mesOUD]

These handsome wild guys coming from jungle of nha tinh vietnam

[Oudamberlove]

Yamadamatsu SS Aloeswood old stock.
Certainly from some Papuan Island,
and smells more like perfume than oud at the opening. I can just imagine the buyers from Yamadamatsu when trekking in Papua in search of Oudh, what gems they must’ve stumbled upon.

Vintage Silani Oud Wood from @Hamza H

Gave me super nostalgic feelings even though the smell was unfamiliar!

North Sumatra mountains
Just love this particular batch of wood.
Looking forward to making a batch of oil from this island’s amazing wood

Green oil "sky waiting for the moon"
fantastico

Hainan Char

A slight nuttiness and woodiness.

a small chunk of sinking Lao. It's wild, I stopped burning daily 14 days ago and now I smell things so much more vividly when I do. Silver linings.

[Mousse de Chene]

Black Shin Kyara - Kangiiten. Really nice stuff, I don’t care that it’s CK it smells delicious on low heat.
Sparkling kinamic top notes that merge swiftly into beautiful vanillic / liquorice/ coumarin / woody bottom tones. A sweet profile which I appreciate immensely.

[Mr.P]

I agree. Some of these ck woods are amazing. I still can’t believe I now have a decent stash for daily burns of kinam. Did not see that coming 10 years ago…

Shoyeido Matsu square

Today’s piece has a soapy vibe.

[The Scent Guru]

Sinking Lao from yesterday, higher heat, deep smokey oud while I pray for guidance.

Got a nice package from maunamoku - ck shavings and cultivated wood from Vietnam. One is the old plantation wood, the other is the ant wood. I have heated the ck and the old plantation wood - both very pleasant appealing scents.

The packaging was very nice - and the storage jar for the ck shavings had a white silicone disk that acted to seal the lid and prevent loss of aroma. Nice touch! The shavings are very resin and oil dense and convenient size for using on a subitism.

Indian Oudh from Zak
I am guessing from Assam.
Nice aroma.

Sinking Kali from @wardlab while I read.

Shoyeido Matsu Square

Today’s piece is difficult to describe, it’s like some sort of mix of nectar, wood, and nuts…. all with a powdery scent texture.

[Hamza H]

White Kinam from a recent haul.
