Wild West Malaysian from Kangiiten, 4 small chips.

Very nice to finally have Malaysian wood since I have quite a few Malay oils, but never tried the wood... now I have and I gotta say it is pretty good, decent at least.

Very woody (I like this agarwoods woody scent quite a bit tbh, rather unique), sweet and with bitterness or sweet with bitter undertones, green forest notes, clean cream notes and dirty jungle cream notes with a note of camphor on some pieces. Was picking up salty notes too. Oh yeah, and a toffee cream note on a piece.

Overall, I like this one by Kangiiten!!!

EDIT: I just lol'd at that "Wild West" at the start of the post 😂😂

i am burning the CK wood I purchased from Mesoud recently. I've mentioned this before this is the less expensive lighter weight wood. This is wonderful smelling stuff - more spicy and less syrupy sweet than the stuff I got from olefaktory. Both are great.

It is a real luxury to be able to burn wood with this aroma liberally. The business with cultivated kinam is really quite a gift.

Yes, I agree. I love how they are coming out with new varieties as well. I know a Chinese plantation owner on WhatsApp and she has some wood that looks like this, and even though it is not black (everyone here except people just on the forum when typing things on Google will know this), black doesn't always mean the best. Anyway she has this unique blonde pieces of CK that come in pieces like this, and if you zoom in you can see the red and yellow pure oil, with resin so dense its packed inside, I believe, this was once only available with wild... but I could be wrong.

Also, I wonder if Habib gets it from Pintanna (which is a plantation for the HIGHEST quality Sri Lankan Walla that isn't completely wild but they are very close to wild, as Walla, is, from what I have been told, very rare in the wild now) or it is actually wild, since you said you have been getting it off him for years. If it was 100% wild it would be batches of a certain amount and gone, no? @Habz786 Do you get it from Pintanna? They are a great company and provide excellent quality Sri Lankan Walla that is pretty much wild in quality.

If no one knows here is Pintanna: https://www.pintannaplantations.lk/our-vision

No brother the woods are 100% wild and not from plantation. For me Sri Lankan wood along with Vietnamese have the best aroma!

Oh wow. You have some pretty nice connections then!!! These are amazing Sri Lankan chips, IMO. I have only ever had low quality Sri Lankan Oud but you are the first I got that was very high quality and even SINKING!!! Much love brother, Habib!!!

yesterday morning I put on a big bit of Feel Oud's Burmese oud.
The problem with these bits is they're not solid chips, but there's a lot of space between the oud bits (I imagine lots of white wood was scraped out) and they're really 'short' (like 2mm tall), so I just put them on as they are the and didn't break off them as twigs.

When I left for work, I forgot to turn off my heater, and didn't get home until 12.5 hours later. However, the voltage on my heater drops off quite quickly when it's on high - without touching the knob, it'll fall from say 12.5v down to ~11 within half an hour or so. I think to get it to stay at a voltage I have to turn it beyond the voltage I want and then drop it down (instead of just turning it up)

Anyway, when got home I turned the burner off, and this morning I put it on again at a high heat, where the smells started pouring out again.
I find that wood can be burned for so long!
