RPP Khan Hoa Ant King.jpg

Ant-bitten agarwood from Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. sourced by @RisingPhoenix

I was taken aback when I unscrewed the cap from the bottle to take this wood out. it smelled intensely sweet, floral, and even a bit kinamic.

this wonderful ant wood specimen glistering like a crystal under the light. indicating how resin-dense it is.

on the heater, this smells distinctively Vietnam. emitting intense melon-like sweetness and a bouquet of flowers. it has that unmistakable electrical quality of kyara.

it's just dang good to describe in words. 🥴

My Organic, Black Oil, Shin - Kyara (plantation mother tree left to self infect by insects, or something like this).

20 min session as that's all I wanted to do right now, will probably go back and do another 15-20 min session on this heat (165c).

Very soft, potent kinamic mintiness that gets stronger and stronger and stronger for literally 5-10 mins every minute lol, you can literally feel it, then it tops off and stays as the backbone of the [current] burn, then a sweet note came in, with sweet mint candies, fleeting chocolate notes (coming and going), sweet red berries, and sour cherries (like crassna oils), with a distinctive spiciness going through, and spicy ethereal chocolate cake, unable to stick to the current profile... so far.

I feel better mentally after this tiny session. Really can't wait to get my Wild Kyara gift (that has 3-4 named "famous" pieces of Kyara) from Kos, already in the mail, and I am just holding my breath till it comes, but it is Royal Mail who is delivering it when it reaches my country, so I will get it 100%... just cant wait to try hehe. Best gift I have ever had as an adult, thanks Kos if you see this 🙂.

EDIT: If I told anyone what I got for a gift, then you guys would all go bonkers lol!!! 😆😆😆😆 Kos is a great man.

40 - 45 min session with my Organic, Black Shin - Kyara wood, had 20-25 mins with it last night, and it seems to be at the end or near end anyway, as the aroma is lacking on the highest heat I have on this heater (180c), and just giving me oats and milk notes.

Start of this session picture:
Notes - Nice soft, strong, kinamic mintiness, spicy, resinous, woody, sweet, sweet and spicy, sweet & spicy candy, kinda purple or red sweet berries or possibly just sweet and sour red cherry... then oats and milk and hardly any aroma left, put back into a jar, and will revisit with another heater (but by then I will be onto the wild kyara, so wont be using this again probably for a while 🤣, unless I put it back on this heater at highest temp tomorrow to see if there is aroma left that I cant pick up right now).

Good heat session.

I can see that you have a thing for the heaters, lol Jk
I ordered Kioka as well, waiting for it to arrive.
I am just gonna get a heater from aliexpress, you can get really good heaters there for like £150-200, I have Kangiitens portable heaer that is... okay, so far... but as soon as possible I am going to buy a heater that is only £40, it goes from below 50 to 400c, but I wouldn't go over 280c (probably max 230c) as there is plastic in it, so even 320c would possibly break it.
