No, the heating ceramic pad is fixed on the Kodachi. I use the control knob to increase the temperature. If it gets too hot then it will automatically shut off. So I can’t match the heat of a subitism, don’t need to anyway, I don’t fry my wood🤣

Its named in 1983 by 19th head of Shino "Hachiya Souyu" and its one of two favorites pieces of his named in the same year!

Its purple oil too with jaw droping aroma ;3

Cambodian char, fumigated on high heat. Recently, I was burned a Cambodian that had a juicy green aroma, but this char has a dark, salty, cacao profile, the aroma is thick and dense. Deep relaxation, mellow contentment.

Good, but the aroma is not resin dense,
I get some woody and dusty notes.

Vietnamese and Indonesian Kizami.

Under 10X magnification the pieces are indeed very resinatied, about half are sinking.

The aroma is definitely good, but not
distinct, I just get a lot of resinous notes with very little fruits and flowers.
