Lit a little Palo Santo for a change of pace today. Translated from Spanish as "sacred wood", Bursera Graveolens has been burned ritualistically by inhabitants in the Yucatan peninsula for centuries. It is part of the Burseraceae family, which includes trees that produce frankincense and myrrh. The tree is widely used in ritual purification and as a traditional remedy for various ailments, such as stomach aches, and as a sudorific and liniment for rheumatism.

Slightly difficult to get burning since the resin/oil content is so high, but otherwise really high quality. Similar to the Hong Kong sticks from Kangiiten/KyaraZen, if not a bit better. How’s the incense sticks now that you’ve had it for a while? Mine should be here sometime next week hopefully
Thanks for the advice!Sometimes it's just crap wood. When buying outside of the forum, without having tried a sample first, it will always be a gamble.
