Yes, it burns much faster that way. Thinking of turning it down. Especially with the more delicate sample that came with the Kangiiten portable kit.
My steps for CK on the sub are...start at 10volts. This is purely for warming up both the sub and the chip. I let it sit like that for about 10mins. After that you can go to 12 or 13 and comfortably sit there for many hours/days. After that level has finished going up to 15 or 16 will push out some wonderful vanilla vapour. Final push is up to 18volts. You can easily get many, many days out of repeating these steps even with the same chip sometimes.

Do you use the sub to burn it - maybe by breaking it up? Or is there another incense burner you use?
I just light inch and half of the incense stick using a regular lighter and I place it on one of those incense trays, like this one, then I smell them 30-50 cm away, this is my way, Enjoy!

Kynam wood chips - Broadlink (Sample)

Just received my Subitism incensor!

Burned some kynam as a test run and getting that vanilla honey scent as always. Love the temp control on this. The portable kit from Kangiiten didn’t get hot enough for me.

Will be trying some Shin Kyara (black, green, and purple) from Kangiiten. I’m sure there are nuances.

Thanks to @OmbréAroma for the sub.

Yi-Xin Craft Incense: Spring Fragrance March 2024.

The osmanthus in this stick is buttery-smooth and fruity on this very warm day.
Something very cooling about the osmanthus today, thirst quenching almost.
Cedar and sandalwood adding background support

I love Osmanthus flowers. I just used 15 grams of the absolute in a composition two weeks ago. I need to buy more now, haha.

But tonight, right before bed, I'm using Shoyeido's The Rapture, yet again. It's lovely.
