This would be very good for meditation. Nice herbal blend with Frankincense.
I get a typical note which is common between this stick and Holy land incense.
I think it's Jiang Zhen Xiang, a herb well know to ward off bad energy.

I find this stick to be quite stimulating. This has a darker profile than the Hidden Orchid. Nice recipe.

Ken’s Devadarü Rose: Heaven’s blessing

The Rose adds an ethereal quality to the Cedar and Agarwood. I think this might be even better than the last batch that saw a strong ambergris profile instead of Rose/florals.

I didn’t realize fermented cedar could smell so amazing either.

Yamadamasu Oju......My order arrived today so that was the one I decided to try first.

My first time trying Yamadamatsu incense and it is deffinateley a positive experience......Will be ordering more of this one.

Shunkohdo Ranjatai

If I were in Japan
I would go to see the famed Ranjatai
but for now, I’ll have to settle for
burning this stick.

The profile is mainly agarwoody
with dry resin
and a touch of fruit.
Some say musk,
maybe a teenee tiny bit.

Moving on...
to Shunkohdo Kyara Seikan
remove the resin
increase the wood
increase the agarwood
add a touch of kyara
and Voila!

The Ghaliyah is great also, with that touch of musk and rose, plus the saffron is there too.
Very skinny stick though😀

We might have to wait for the end of the Pandemic before KZ will be inpspired to make more sticks.

I am heating some Dr. Incense - Processed Cambodia again. On gentle heat, a small 1cm piece easily lasts 2-3 hours. The aroma is light but I have the burner right next to me so it is okay - think kodo ceremony style 😀

A truly balanced blend. I can smell agarwoood. Today, I was able to smell that kyara. This bitter-sweet note, which is very pronounced in Sho-kaku, is mellow here. I feel like it's a bit subdued because of agarwood and spices here, perhaps.
Another future buy.
