@Faizal_p Ceylon Royale Exclusif

I had tucked a couple of oils away in a corner and these should've gotten a little more attention. Been quite a few things coming and going… nice rich opening to this one. I get a sweet muskiness in the top notes, and it quickly starts showing that classic sweet Borneo-like heart and base that seems to be the signature of oils from this region. This one has something a little different going on in the top notes than some of the others I have smelled, again I experience it as a kind of sweet focused muskiness but it's one of those smells that kind of comes and goes.

Nice oil, seems right up there with the good ones, I definitely can understand why people seek out this region.

I love this oil very much. I wish I could afford a bottle. My sample has gotten to the level of "smell only, don't swipe" stage. As perfect as an oil can get.

Sometimes when I try new oil I could link it to something I have encountered before, like some nuances, feeling or vibes. It's no the case here, except for the drydown.
This one is unique and multifaceted. It starts with sichuan pepper like opening, subtle sweetness, a green note that is not eucalyptus or mint, like a green (not blue!) aquatic note that is bitter with a slightly zesty orange peel feeling but not the mouthwatering orange, more of the dry less ripe ones.
With time all of these notes align together to make one powerful spectrum, fully bodied, the spices are in the heart with lingering sweetness in background, never too sweet nor too spicy.
Ahh, the drydown, the beat part, the grand finale, an amazing honey woody incensy drydown, in the vein of some excellent oils, one that came to my mind is JS EOK.
I always apply my oils on the skin, but this is also so beautiful on fabrics, the sleeves of my Thoob smells heavenly from the last night contact with HK Regale.

Thank you brother, real HK oils are rare as anything and this one is truly up there. There are hints of FHI from IO but I think this leans more towards the red spectrum

sinensis?

Definitely smells like it, but not like the modern cultivated Kinam style, there's something more going on "underneath the hood" as you guys say!

That's what I would think, wild sinensis is quite an intriguing thought I'm not sure how often I've smelled it, certainly not more than on a couple of occasions - I guess the old royal kinam is an example.

I expect it would be akin to the difference between wild and plantation crassna oils...

Oud Stories - Aged Ceylani

It starts off sweet with bergamot and orange peels. Which is then followed by complex woody resinous tones. The base is deeply leathery. This is one of my top ouds on the shelf.

I really enjoy scent memory association's. I've had a couple of bottles of Oud Chackak now and mainly worn it at home. However, earlier this year I went to New Zealand for a trip and stayed in Queenstown. It was coming into Autumn and already quite cold there. I had brought a small amout of Oud Chackak with me in my travel tin and decided one day before we headed out to put a bit on. This was the first time I had worn it in much colder climate with very dry air. Those elements made the small amout I was wearing to come out a LOT stronger than I feel it usually is. I didn't mind this of course but my partner was down wind from me and she did not appreciate it as much as myself. To keep the peace, I did not wear it again for the remainder of our stay which was about another 7 days. That one swipe though was all that was needed for me to store this scent within a memory of Queenstown New Zealand. Now, everytime I smell it I'm instantly transported back. Love it.

Right on! Scent and memory are intertwined. Love the smell of certain ouds in crisp, cool air.

ASO Rakheem. Got a generous sample with my other order. In my opinion oud should smell like Rakheem. Not exaggerating but if you haven’t smelled Rakheem, you haven’t smelled oud. Yes there are legendary ouds out there, not denying but Rakheem for that price has got so much in it that satisfies a traditional oud lover. There is that slight leathery tones, abundant oudhiness and the lovely sweetness with the tang.
The opening is mind blowing. I was just salivating when I smelled from the dip stick. It has that ethereal nature as well. Superb oil!! hits way above its price.

Royal Bengal Ouds has a Tripura oud coming out soon of which I have a sample. It's beautiful with that minimal touch of barn that I find ever so addictive. There's an underlying leathery-soapy quality to it and maybe something like peach skin; it's not fruity or juicy at all and only hints at stone fruits. This one falls right under Sultan Altamash for me, and for its price it feels like it's punching way above its weight.

Has anyone been rocking RBO as of late? I have seen that Ish is very respected on here but I don't see his goods mentioned all too often! His Sri Chang oil reminds me of Mai Kritsana, and his Khao Kao has extremely lovely floral notes. HIs Taif rose oil lasts forever and is very well priced as well.

Sokkat AlTeeb - Blue Bakhoori Oud Oil

What better to go with Ghaliyah AlDiriyah Parfum than Blue Bakhoori Oud. It shares the top spot with Trat Boray VIP - Also from Sokkat AlTeeb.

It’s a deep and earthy Oud with less spice than Trat Boray but makes up by being well rounded. It hits all the right notes. Smoky, sweet, earthy, muddy, woody, resinous. With hints of cocoa and leather.

Beautiful to wear with other parfums. Especially Oud based ones. The bottle shown is my second.

I had this when it first came out. It’s an amazing oil. Finished it 🙁
