Good to know because I am waiting on my full bottle 🙂
I was hoping it would surpass People’s Ceylon.
It didn’t work out that way, but still, no regrets, it does have some beauty, and since it is multi-origin, the unique combination makes it atypical.....in a good way....

Peoples Ceylon is the reason why I bought it. I only have a sample of PC and wish I had a full bottle. Ensar claims it to be better than PC.

I also had only a sample of PC and wish I got a whole bottle, but other purchases had a higher priority at that time.

I guess it’s what you expect out of the oil, is what will determine wether CC is better than PC.

I was hoping for a stronger drydown, and less airiness. Like a second pull of PC.
With CC, you smell the first swipe 2 to 3 feet away, very ethereal. Plus the flavor is slightly different.

It will come down to personal preference for sure.

Not yet out.
A unique Malaysian.
I did a side-by-side with Tigerwood Royale
the Marjaan smells more aged, but that is just my impression, I have no idea of their real ages.

At first I thought Marjaan was a Mukhallat, and then skepticism, but in the end I started to get hooked😱

Thanks for the answer. :praying:

Very intersting feedback, I need to try it now!

Iam wearing Hamms right now, ASO malaysian offering is very interesting.

Papuamantan EO:
4 proper wears so far.

Opening is more maroke but amore approachable and accessible one. Less damp.

The spice of gp is there. There is indeed a purple note and after looking for it I see a friend’s find of ceram wood suggestion in this oil. It Is faint and not always there but can be sensed. In other words the purple note is not strong defining character or easily picked up note.

With 5 min or so, the maroke note like a dissapear magic act vanishes and an encens royale (minus the cooling and camphor note) jumps in. A very old scent. Like an uncle to port moresbey.

The oriental spice and star anise are subtle but awesome. The whole super dark green profile is wicked. Best of all it has the settled mature qualities while the top note comes alive 15 min later with that fuzzy buzzy kinamantany vapours recalling fern and oak moss and lichens. In other words it’s as if there is a few percent of that Borneo green there like a sprinkle on top. This note was completely undetectable in first 10-15 minutes in my 4 wears so far.

Drydown is nothing but that oudy oud marrow that clingers to your sinuses and satisfies the wearer.

A very solid pick up and imho punches above its price point.

Port Papua on the other hand... stay tuned in.

I wore IO's Syllhet Supreme to work which is a very smooth, slight barny scent. I've tried 2 Bangladesh ouds and like both very much.

Tonight I am wearing Dukham by @Habz786 which really jumps out at you with earthy, dense, old jungle feel.
I also have a swipe of @Oudamberlove 's Ghalyiah #2 - can really feel the musk and rose in this one. I'm being slow with trying all these oils, sorry Curt!

annoyingly, before bed last night, I swiped a couple of these oud/musk oils from a candle company that have made blends for some reason. It's close to 24hrs and this awful deer musk one is still coming off my skin despite a long washing session this morning - I can't get it off! It's awful

My wife and I have been blessed, thank you for the welcome respected @Rai Munir. What are your fav Ouds these days?
Congrats and stay blessed.

My favourite, hmm. I can write about the oils I tried this year.

I just came to know Agar Aura has offered a sample pack. There you can find maximum variety of Oud oils 2018. Here I found two beautiful oils. There is a Hindi oil, Nashila. I haven't tried it so far. So, no comments. In AA's oils, I experienced a constructive variety, not just variety for variety sake.

Dear SydnorIII, I think last year, or in the beginning of this year, you visited India where you saw Zak and, of course, many other persons. Since then, I observed change in your taste. You love to wear Hindi Oud oils, and not perfume-y ones. Oud is a quite mysterious and distinctive phenomenon that has its own specific Oudy magnetic field. Now majority of oils lack that Oudy field. Perfumes keep echoing this year in the form of Oud. Anyway.

It might sound weird, but I am of the view buy from one and enjoy all vendors. Hindi has turned green and full of ocean vibes, and Indonesian has become hay and chocolate-y, Laotian has changed into lotus and Swiss orchard, and so on. It is creativity or anomaly, I don't know😉.

Respected Habz sent to me a Hindi Oud, not Dukha'an that is available on the website. That is a really beautiful oil. Unfortunately, for the last many months, I couldn't get anything from Zak. So, you have to guide me in this connection.

I would strongly suggest: Get Musk grains, acquire Mysore Santal, and macerate them on your own. Later blend a little bit Zak's Hindi.

My Czar Ceylon arrived. I agree with you that it doesnt smell like Peoples Ceylon at all. I found PS to be fresher, lighter bodied and a very good summer time scent. Its an oil that a beginner will really like.
But CC is definitely not light bodied. The Sri Lankan part of the oil is dark, bitter and incensy. Strong stuff. Its an oud lovers' oil, maybe not for beginners.

Wow a different beast then. I wonder how different the Czar Sultan is (I've still not swiped it, nor tried the original) - I asked Adam and he said it was different wood but cooked with the same style/setup. Thinking about it - how different is the available Yusuf vs. the one that was available originally? Are there much variations between re-issues of these oils?

I havent actually tried Yusuf (old vs new). I believe they all have subtle differences. I'm sure more senior members can give you a detailed response on this.
