Sabah Beginning - Feel Oud
Still one of my favorite samples that dear Joe King gifted to me. Somewhat monotonous but here I don't mind as it has a beautiful woody, sharp, bittersweet scent that has much depth. A perfect specimen of this style.

Agar Aura Inderapura Encens

I wouldn’t be surprised if some Endau Rompin wood went into this distillation. (Same used in Berkilau, although Inderapura Encens has an opening that smells closer to Pencerahan)

After the blast opening, the heart and dry down are weak, turn a little spicy, but overall still very nice.

KZ 1985

haven’t heard mention of this goop in a while. A very interesting aspect of oud. I have only a drop or two but a little goes a long way!

My Al Ghaliyah #1

Basically, it’s EO Assam Wilde, with a little bit of Ward Al Ta’ifi, and Deer Musk Grains swimming inside. Nice balanced opening, then it becomes more barn-meets-musk, then it becomes more incensey musk. Those musk combos are actually quite good. I am very happy with the outcome.

My Al Ghaliyah #2
Again...a very oudy version, this time with a couple Bangladesh ouds, which lend juicy fruits and tobacco to the blend.
A wonderful opening, with all the notes (of what I imagine a Ghaliyah to smell like) singing together in harmony. Then it gets oudy. Dry down is just more of the heart phase, but weaker.

It’s a keeper!😵

Agar Aura Dao

Performance:
No blast at opening, minimal acrobatics, scent hovers close to application. This is definitely a stay at home oud.

Aroma:
A light dose of tobacco and wood, together with resin, oudiness, and a darker shade of Pursat fruitiness.
Slowly registers higher in my smelling sense, almost ethereal, with a bit of sparkling champagne note. Maybe this is the Sinensis connection, but overall it does not smell Chinese. A little more woody at dry down.

Conclusion:
Represents agarwood very well, at times reminds me of Rakoku Jinkoh (Southern Thai Malaccensis),
and IMO qualifies to be part of Agar Aura’s Jinkoh series.

ASO Al Malek Al Maliyzi -- super oil .. I love that ASO signature in their oils with that musky opening...

Got an opportunity to show some of my oils to a friend... so ended up revisiting Oud Yusuf ... I just had to start with that for him

The Malek al malayzi is a fantastic oil for certain.

RBO wild Classic Cambodia Koh Kong

Figs stewed in blueberry pomegranate syrup,
one of my favorite Cambodi fruit profiles, and probably a true classic scent.... I have experienced some Middle Eastern Cambodi type perfumes that try to capture this profile.

There’s also a good oudy woody component.
Overall a “Jolly Good Oud”

Eid Mubarak to all our brothers and sisters on the forum!

Haven't posted here in awhile, work has been killer but it's all worth it in the end.

My Oud of the day is a lot more than just Oud. I have Adan swiped behind each ear, with a Siberian/Kashmir Musk maceration on the wrists, and pure Tibetan Musk extract in the beard.

Am I ultra fragrant today? Yes :Roflmao::Roflmao: Today is a good day!

Hoi an plus musk is sublime.
