lovely profile, I’m impressed, but does not have longevity.

at times the facets perplex me....
is it the Brunei component, or the PNG?
other times....it’s sheer beauty.
I think external factors affect the perceived scents
more so than some other ouds.

Oud Dhahab by HO: Beautiful top notes! Really beautiful!

After twenty to twenty five minutes, top notes were nowhere and just light shades of Habzoud's Burmese oil Qamar were there. And next two hours it was just a light version of Qamar. And now after three and a half hours, there is a mild scent of wood.
If one has tried that oil and liked that, Dhahab is a light version of Qamar.

First twenty minutes are worth the price.

Aging is badly needed, I think. My experience is when Cambodi and Thai oils are blended in any other oils, both top notes and longevity seem absent in the beginning. After a pretty long time, both emerge but no outstanding results, especially if there is a Thai oil.

To me its bitter sweet but no that sweet. Beautiful throughout. Slightly resinous and incensy. Its lovely no doubt.

Salute to Russian Adam! The Oud arrived, I sniffed, it conquered! The oil beyond deconstruction of notes.

Again I wore Dhahab. No doubt, beautiful top notes with clean and clean and clean Oud aroma. Subha'an-Allah! I love Syed Taha's Cambodis released in 2018. And now this Dhahab made me live the day when I tried Taha's Cambodis. Last day, its middle and base notes couldn't respond well on the skin. Today let's see. But top notes are Cambodi Oudwood cone emitting scent.

Today I tried Sultan Pasha, Ensar, LMK, and FO. Feel Oud's VS is a Titan.

Aroha Kush. Meh. Call me oud fashioned, but I like something with a little more umph, projection, and lasting power. This smells fantastic but literally dies the second it touches skin. Very floral with an almost green minty core. Not much oud resin vibe. If I had to name a color, I'd say YELLOW/light orange.

Very little projection, very slight barnyard note, overall a pleasant oud but not worth buying a full bottle at least for me.

Imperial Oud Super-Hoi-Freaking-An blowing my mind and making me anxiously worry about my checking account balance and how to justify another bottle.

I know this is cliche but I feel like I am smearing myself with kyara oil every time. Either this stuff is truly kyara-like or I don’t know what kyara smells like (the most likely explanation). At the very least, I feel like I am smearing myself with essence of absolute top-shelf Japanese incense, after the fermented top note metamorphoses.

when I swipe Sasong Sungsud, I get many of the notes that are in those sinking chips.

For me it is petrichor, damp forest floor dusted with aged (lost its sharpness) black cumin
