Dear and respected Dan, 200 is Khudee, and 199 is Imani.

The notes you have mentioned are surely in Khudee, and wood heating I found in Imani.

I will confirm it again.
Dear Mr Munir, I had read your review on TajOud and I was also a bit surprised that I got different notes to yours. So I actually went back and checked and I confirm my experience above was of 200(Imani) atleast that's what the bottle said.

Checking out a sample of yunnan from Al Shareef. Nice dense semi-funky-swampy sweet fragrance like a bit of Malaysia and a bit of Assam combined. Not sure what species are found in Yunnan but this does not smell like a “Chinese” oud in the sense of a hainan or sinensis oil. If I had to guess I would say malaccensis? Only oil I’ve smelled from yunnan, it reminds me very much of a different oil of al Shareef’s I smelled a few years ago but can’t recall which one. I think maybe oud ameen?

anyway this is a nice classic oud, I imagine would be appreciate in the Middle East - it has that blend of smoothness and funk!

What's a good example of a Chinese oil currently for sale by one of the ouddict vendors? Yunan is great but I thought that was a good example of a sterotypical Chinese Oud. Guess not. Haven't smelled anything but that before in the way of chinese.

Hi Andrew, I'll be releasing one maybe by the week end.
@Mario P. have smelt it, he maybe confirm it.

Yes LMK chinese is great oil ,specially on that price is hard to get wild chinese ,i dont like the start but once is heated by skin develop very nice.
If budget is not a problem you have more option like IO Hainan Imperiale (crazy smell of roasted brazilian nuts ,bitter ,very sweet and green in same time and get kinamic vibe aswell)
More than that is ASO Ceen but very expensive ,quite cloose to FHI (for my taste FHI was far better ...but i try only one time ceen from my friend sample ,so i can't bet FHI>Ceen ,is just my taste )
If you like that type of smell, you can try some CO2 chinese ,very deep and sweet like honey no fruits, last very very well but they are zero on projection !
Cheers

Muhib - HO

best one yet i tried of Habz, got to a point were it was almost spychedelic . very good quality of wood must have been used.
I swiped Muhib also.....
I have learned that some really good oils do not scream with projection, and remain loud through the progression.
Muhib is one of them. Not weak, let’s just say mellow. But the profile is 24 karat gold. Clean and concise. A real Cambodi treat. It makes me think of what a true agarwood essential oil should smell like....and for this region in particular.

RPP's

Naganchi; a chocolaty, leathery hindi that opens to florals, camphor, and sweetness.

Annona; a nice, fruity, airy Malay that I seem to catch a condensed milk note from. Needs more study.

A 30-something year old, slightly poopy-but-nice hindi. Pretty smooth, for real barn.
