Andrew sorry my english is quite poor and maybe i was missunderstood ,is not about negative review or something ,i told you is just not my coup of tea ,i expect something else because of reviews ,but i m sure that reviews are about old 3k not new ,cuz new is nothing smooth or borneo high class oil ,is just an dirty earthy oud with hints of malino ...i have few good oils from that region and 3k is not even close to others...is not bad but because of expectation i need to say is 4/10 to my noose !I know you specified. What did I say that made you feel like I misunderstood?
I was sincerely asking what you didn't like about the oil btw. I legitimately wanted to know - not passive aggressively trying to discourage negative reviews of an oil. The opposite actually - I was hoping for more candor.
hmm so hard to tell, i did that much of oils for sister since i swiped Bhamo two days ago to nephew and she picked the scent and yesterday had many swipes 😀 in the end she loved Bhamo the most with hainan 2005 too rest she said they don't come closeAny stand out?

I sampled hainan 05 back when it was still available and I think I was too novice to appreciate the oud. Ended up swapping the sample. Should have kept it around though to Come back to eventuallyWow she liked hainan 2005? She has a seasoned nose then.
I pretty much had a similar experience when I first purchase this oil over two years ago. I was literally smelling my wrist ever few seconds drifting away with every breath. Last summer I had the chance to climb Mount Snowden with a couple of friends. I decided to take the oil with me for a few pictures at the top of the mountain, (which by the way I used for the website). I hadn’t applied any oud oil at that point. It was a beautiful summers day the weather was hot with light breeze, the oil was in my backpack, as I was climbing I could hear this Constant sniffing. At first I thought my friend may have a blocked nose but by the time we got to the summit by Friend asked me “what is that smell? Are you wearing one of your ouds?”. I was surprised because it was tucked away inside my backpack. ‘No’, I said, and I was surprised that he could smell it through the backpack, so I asked ‘why? what do you think it smalls like?’ (For me l love to hear other people’s first impression of oud & oils). His reaction was that it had very addictive smell and it was one he had never come across. So I gave him a swipe of the silani within a few second he reserved a bottle and by the time we got to the bottom he couldn’t stop talking about it! How much it charged and how many different things it reminded him of. This silani is definitely one of my favourite oud oil and as it’s ageing, it just gets better and better!!View attachment 11335

The moment I open this bottle and sniffing the emitting aroma from the applicator, it calms my nerves. the fresh and energetic jungle vibe of this oil makes me speechless.
I apply a half swipe of this oil on my upper wrist and close my eyes.
the gentle aroma of sun rayed succulent jungle floor and mossy woods come to my nostrils.
I forget where I was sitting. transported to the ancient jungle of Sri Lanka. I hear the song of nature.
At this moment, I connected with mother nature.
Breathe in, breath out. breathe in, breath out. breath in, breath out…
