What didn't you like about b3k? I think it's great and nothing else on the market currently with this profile for less money unfortunately... It's a very clean, copper, vanilla Borneo vibe.

Has anyone tried both the old and new b3k? Are they drastically different?

I say clearly in my post is new one ,i never try old ,but this is nothing like borneo vibe ,zero vanilla etc ,is just normal merauke level ,if you want honest opinion, to my noose dont worth more than 200$ ....is just my noose no offence ,old one i hear was amazing

I have the original. It is a nice chocolatey Borneo. A little bit of a weird dry down (reminds me of bad cat breath at the very end of its development of all things... obviously we have cats...) but otherwise a really nice presentation of the aroma of this one particular kind of oud. I haven’t smelled enough oils from this type of wood to be able it give it any kind of rank compared to others, or a guess of what it might sell for today, but I would say it comes across as a high end oud.

I love borneo ouds ,but this new 3k is not my coup of tea...

I always wonder when oils are given the same name like this, how much they smell similar. I don’t have many ouds of this calibre and haven’t smelled any “series” like this, really don’t have more to add.

It is funny how you have to be so careful if you don’t have something positive to say about an oil. It’s kind of messed up, even though I understand why on a certain level. I feel like no one really feels comfortable being honest about oils they they are not crazy about. You kind of have to read between the lines if you want to avoid mediocre oils.

I know you specified. What did I say that made you feel like I misunderstood?

I was sincerely asking what you didn't like about the oil btw. I legitimately wanted to know - not passive aggressively trying to discourage negative reviews of an oil. The opposite actually - I was hoping for more candor.
