He's been really knocking it out of the park, lately.

I guess he was always kicking it out of the park bro ... just that he is a discipline guy on his policy of not selling anything in between 0.15ml (sample) and 2.5ml ... which takes his oils a bit far stretched for ordinary ouddicts

Ejayb’s economy Laos oud. I like this more the second time. It has a definite Thai vibe, sweet rooibos and poplar notes that I enjoy, and has some other notes I can’t describe that remind me of some of Russian Adam’s basic Thai oils. This is a note that, other than this Lao oil, I have only smelled in Thai oud. I am 100% certain this simply reflects the fact that I haven’t sampled enough oud to have anything more than a rudimentary sense of what each region’s profile can be. My other oil from Laos is a very different beast and you wouldn’t think to group them at all based on their scent. I wonder if it’s because the other one is more fermented, it might’ve smelled similar if it had not been soaked for so long? I know that it was a traditional long soak oil.

anyway, back to the economy Lao: if you want a Thai profile oud with kind of soft (in a good way) top notes and that nice rooibos heart, you might like this one!

Hey everyone,

New here. I am not new to the higher end incense sticks. I would check old forums on Olfactory but here I just bumped into a post and saw the chats are still active.

I am a big fan of Kyara.

Will be burning Baieido Kyara Kokoh tonight. Funny story about that one too. I bought a stick from Japan incense a year ago. I had half left and figured recently I would just burn the whole thing because it’s old. Within seconds I realize that was a terrible idea and broke off the piece to save what I could for another time.

Within days I bought the large box from Kohgen World in Japan. Super exited!

Was wondering though if any of you have any suggestions for Sandalwood? I have tried Minorien and Baiedio’s anniversary version. Great sticks, was wondering if anything outside that may be good too. Looking for highest purest quality.

Get JKs sandalwood sticks. They are way better than anything you'll get from any of the Japanese incense companies. 1mm and long. Find him on Etsy store called rising Phoenix. They are the absolute best value and quality sandalwood sticks in the game. Full stop.

Thanks for prompt response!

Based on your conviction I decided not to waste any time and plan to go right to it because why not? Lol

I see they offer a lot of options. Are the Sandalwood ones you recommend the Mysore ones?
