OK, ok - eating my words (feel like I've been doing that a lot lately here 🙂. NOOOWWWW I understand what all the fuss is about and why some people pay 1k+ a bottle.

@F4R1d0uX - just got my pack. Sumatera Gulang - wowzers. Glad we could work out paying for a sample since I couldn't really afford a bottle. Worth it completely. I'll hang onto this sample and only swipe on special occasions. This stuff rocks!

Off the cap, I was thinking - OK, it's got a vanilla kinda creamy sweet vibe, what's the big deal. Then I put a little on my skin and the whole thing opened up like 100 fold. Green, crystal clear minty kinda air - sweet, breezy, blue/green, florals, white amergris kinda tone, some vanilla. But by and large not a smell I've smelled before and that's been rare lately with ouds I've smelled. I can't think of another one, not really - that is similar to this that I've tried at least. Trying to make connections but totally can't. It's like this exotic flower tone from outerspace or something. That's the hardest thing about it - I can't even really say what it smells like without a reference for this sharp blue/green tone. Maybe some sri lankans I've tried?? I totally shouldn't have done this - gunna be hard going back to my daily swipes of organics after this......

Yasuke up to the plate next but will probably wait until tomorrow. I have a feeling that one is a darker tone completely - like day and night compared with Sumatera Gulang - so I don't want that to overpower this. Will write a review of Yasuke tomorrow for sure. Off the cap though, I got some smokiness and like lacquer, some tobacco and tigerwood comes to mind....
SG by LMK sounds like a new banger [emoji14]

Thanks fam' !
I don't know when you applied it but even in some hours you will understand that 1 dot will go for long time.
That's also why I did 1.5gr bottles.

Excited to see your feeling about the Yasuke on your skin .

If you are looking for a purely wild Senesis that's true true true to what I understand to be that particular Chinese profile, I think La Maison Khenata's Fu Zang Long is really great and he's having a sale right now. Most of the time, vendors flowy descriptions to me leave me puzzled, wondering if my nose is just super untrained or if they are being hyperbolic about notes in their description. Fu Zang Long's description on the other hand literally took the words out of my mouth. Pettigrain, sun dried organge peel bitters, faint licorice, bitter, totally airy and almost translucent and green but also really lasts a LONG time. It's got this subtle breezy, airy, really wearable aroma that I could smell all day. Upfront, you definitely get some zesty citrusy kinda thing going on, but also like a backdrop of brushed suede that gives a really incredible body to the whole thing - almost like a muskiness I guess, but not as piercing or cutting. It's totally unique though - and I'm not sure if this is what most senesis smells like. I hesitate to say it's faint because it lasts so long, but compared to other ouds, it's definitely more prim and proper - not loud and aggressive. I could see this being worn by a businessman in a suit - who wants a really professional vibe

Soon the 2nd dragon to be released ...
From another area but same signature :praying:
