Al Shareef Oudh - Yunnan
Jawed from Al Shareef Oudh described this oil very accurately and I don't have a word to add to his description.

"It is difficult to describe Yunnan oudh without drawing some parables, imagine the most refined musk you have ever sampled but picture the musk grains replaced with heated oudh resin, dark blood red cherries, amber, and the scent of a beast on heat.
The journey through Yunnan will conjure up an image of wonderful hills, rivers, and wildflower fields. At the same time, there is the scent of changing hands of control between kingdoms, of violent wars, some lost and others won. Vintage red figs rolled in Cuban tobacco leaves, sprinkled with a dusting of Somali Myrrh makes the heart of Yunnan."

Yunnan opens up with a heavily animalic mulch note and smoothly transitioned into sweet bitter Somali myrrh, smooth tobacco. it's very true to those materials and feels visceral. I was able to see what path Jawed's mind went through. a special thing about this oud oil is its unusual citrusy sweetness that is quite hard to describe.

Unfortunately, the sample bottle I got oxidized and it lost its soul. so I could not translate what I smell into my own words.

I picked this too! For Thanksgiving it just kinda felt right. It reminds me of oud apple pie!

EO Brunei Kynam

Opens gentle, yet piercing.
I’m getting some top note aromas
indicative of a new generation distillation.

I am reminded of Habzoud Oud Alamin.

The kynam reference is the sweet not the bitter type.

Not much progression other than the shedding of the top notes to reveal the wood’s intrinsic profile, which has a moderate strength, but gradually tones down a bit. Much like Suriranka Senkoh, this oil captures the “beautiful side”.

You can’t swipe raw oudh wood, but you can wear it with this oil, and enjoy the aromatic resin
which lingers and lingers.

At 10k a bottle? This review makes me think 1 plus 1 does not equal 2. Would you have guessed it was this expensive if you smelled it blind?

I'm not denying the quality of wood used - I'm sure it was top notch, I'm just curious more than anything to get my nose on what I think is the most expensive oil ever sold.

I don’t think that price has a scent :Roflmao::Roflmao::Roflmao:,
but if I tried it blindly, I would notice the lack of accessory notes, and would appreciate the use of incense grade wood. I would also like the beautiful smell, but wish it would be stronger, although I’m learning that good projection doesn’t necessarily mean a higher quality.

Yeah, wouldn’t it be nice to smell every artisanal oud that you can get your hands on😀

@RisingPhoenix are you sure you didn't mix Sarawak, Kalimantan in this? a good part of profiles from those regions are in here as well.

Trakan by IO layered with Musk Tincture! Tarakan itself is a wonderful Oud replete with very soothing mild Oudish trails. No auxiliary or off notes of any kind.

Trakan's layering on Musk tincture has given it a sensational touch. Masculine tone of musk has infused vitality in Oud.
Have purchased some Tarakan for such fusions..
Oudimentary have this. Want to musk it up some what....

In fact, there is always difference in oils from different vendors with the same name.

The best example are Nha Trang by respected Bolton and Nha Trang by IO, and in the same way Pursat by EO and Pursat by AA.
Understood brother Rai.
Tea and Oudh in common have many things. Have tasted many variations of Assam region tea.
Can be quite different in degrees of taste beauty...
