EO Sultani 75. This is an oil that says youth, while certainly lovely and exciting, is also quite overrated. Beautiful depth and tonalities here, all of them dark and dusky. Purple-black like a Queen of the South. Does one miss the souplesse and vivacity of say, a Marius or Taha oil? Not one teensy bit.

Had a very fun evening sniffing ouds, perfumes, attars and essential oils with @Johnnyboy
We sniffed perfumes from habzoud, elixir, Mellifluence, RBO, Anthony Marmin, Hikayat, lucky oud, AA, EO, Sultan Pasha, An Najwa, Tabeer Oud, Feel Oud, ASO, ASQ, TNRP, Arabian Oud, Memo, The Oud Lab, may be a few more.
The most wild and outrageous one was the Musk Accord from Sultan pasha.
It’s a good recreation and represent of deer musk. Not exactly the deer musk but a very wild one to experience.
It sells like the public toilets in India. The pissy smell is a human piss and not the animal/deer. I had a big swipe on the forearm and I had to goto the mosque to pray. I was very worried 😅.
It’s not a perfume but a blending material in my humble opinion.
The Mystic Orchard from RBO felt very similar to Nahwand II from elixir Attar.
RBO’s Taif Rose is lovely.
RBO's Srichang and Seblat are very good Oud oils, different.
RBO's wild Vietnam - Nah Trang, a very impressive oil.
We both liked Sehr Al Kalimat from Arabian Oud.
The ASO Jasmine, we both wished it lasted longer on the skin, it’s a beautiful Jasmine smell.
Hikayat’s Seri Karas reminds me of Habz's Zamarad II, but much younger and on steroids. The granny smith, tart fizzy note is buzzing. His Trat basic is a very clean Thai Oud, very very fruit. A dab of it and it smells fruit for a long time. I am not fond of clean ouds, bt I like this one, and price is fantastic. I am going to score some bottles and age them.
Tried a lot of TNRP, still trying to feel and understand the compositions.
Royal Mysore Borneo Oud from Bakhoor Incense Store, this in my only fav product from the vendor. Everything else other than the Tonkin Patchouli(not fan of Tonkin but this one is very floral), I did not find very impressive.
The Royal Mysore Borneo Oud deserves a full review, it's a sweet, barnyard stinky blend.
The Memo African Leather felt very average when smelling all these.
Anothony Marmin's Imperial Ambergirs is a very good Taif Rose blend, its Taif Rose and honey, ambergris at the very dry down. Unlike other blends, this is just one Rose. I can very well detect and pick the Taif Rose. I enjoyed it very much.
The Cambodi Royal for Oud Lab always stands out for its power. I love their Hainan oil, Merauke Shinrin is still impressive.
Need to go back to Lao Xing, Lao Shin and Borneo Kin. His hojari oil is one of the best.
An Najwa's Kashir is shocking wild deer musk. Very musky very animalic, power house. A small dab fills up the room. I smell Himlayan musk in it. Rough! Not easy to wear in the public 🙂
Revisited some SP Attars. Tabac Grande still does not impress me. Its straight up Bulgarian Tabacco Abs and Honey/Benzion to me. Very jammy sweet, projects loud, lasts good time. Fougere Noir is what I was more interested in, but for a warmer weather.
We ended the session with EO Iris Ghaliya. I sprayed it on the chest, under the neck so that I can keep smelling it. I smelled so good with all these all over the arms and body that I did not want to take a bath the next day for not wanting to loose the scent. The Iris Ghaliya made me happy for a long time, I kept getting good strong whiffs of it until the next morning.
The star of the session remained the notorious Musk Accord from SP😅
I was very pleased and satisfied after the session. Good, natural scent makes me feel very peaceful and satisfied. Specially makes me feel more peaceful during/after my prayers. It's a big blessing for me, to have and experience these.

Feel oud bio ko chan no. 1. Finally shedding the cloying almond / cherry top note and beginning to smell more solidly like oud and less like some kind of crazy fruit.
All of Adam’s Thai oils I bought had this delightful diffusive fresh poplar bud / humus / riparian zone note from day one as well, which they still have.
If I put on just the tiniest dab I mainly get that fresh poplar smell, And up until recently that’s the most I’ve been able to tolerate of these oils. Once again I have this feeling that these fresh oils need something (time mainly) to really make them into masterpieces
