My mesOUD order came, woo. The Bulugan is great, have it on right now. The Trat Borai smells amazing too, never tried a Thai Crassna before, so cant wait to wait that probably tomorrow or later tonight, but most likely tomorrow with fresh nose.

I’m glad you took Bulungan. It is one of my favs from the sampler set. It’s the sweet mud/soil, clean petrichor that makes it special. A refined version of attar Mitti 🤌

I got a box of Shunkohdo Kyara Houzan coming. I called Kotaro from Japan Incense to check if it is in stock, he said he had both the 40 stick and 80 stick in stock. I told him I don’t see the 80 stick on the website, he said search Houzan and it should be there. I asked if the 80 stick box was old stock, he said yes, so now I am anxious to try it, plus 80 sticks should last me forever.

Awaiting the package from An Najwa, and received the package from Craft Oud.

A Series of Malaysian Oud Oils & Two Attar Oils by Craft Oud (Dr Prasun): These oils are yet to be released by the house, but fortunately I received them as I have to avail the opportunity when someone is travelling to Pakistan. Thanks to Dr Prasun as well who accomodated immensely and sent the package to have oils well in time.

Lavender Bouquet is a LOVE, PLATONIC LOVE between/among Lavander, Rose, Loba'an, Sandal, Orange Blooms, and a few more florals. Delicacy of Lavander coupled with fragrant sheen of Rose and sunny smile of cirrus! Oriental scent created in the perspective of Occidental perfumery.

Mesoud definitely makes you feel valued as a customer!

it's the little things that matter sometimes that we forget to appreciate. I've had 100% positive experiences with every order i have made from everyone here and at PSH, eden, liberty, white lotus etc..

I was shipped the wrong product recently by a vendor (not associated with ouddict), and the time and energy required to correct this is starting to exceed the value of the product, if we assume my time is worth anything. If it wasn't an item in excess of $100 in value I probably would just say screw it and take the loss and just pay to get the correct thing shipped...

The wrong package arrived monday. I get the return paperwork emailed to me today... it might've come eventually but after four days of nothing showing up I had to email them to remind them. Nobody answered my email so I emailed somebody else. I have to return the product before I will be shipped what I ordered, the courier DHL cannot come by for another couple of days and requires me to be present with an open package for inspection, and has given me a nine hour window during which I'm supposed to be available. The nearest drop off point is an hour drive away.

I understand the dilemma – I could be a scammer trying to get free oil (both what I ordered and what i was sent by mistake is about $150) and it's always easy to judge somebody's actions from the outside.

On a certain level it's just bad luck - if I lived around the corner from a DHL drop point this would've been a piece of cake other than the delay. In their mind this is probably a speedy resolution so I'm not going to mention the company... I mean this is a first world problem if ever there was one haha and I will certainly continue to order from this vendor as long as it doesn't repeat

I just needed to vent and back to my main point: I appreciate all the effort that vendors make to make sure everything goes smoothly for customers. Definitely started taking it for granted. It is crazy in the best sense of the word how over the top some (all?) of our vendors here are when it comes to making their customers feel respected.

Also for double checking what you ship 🙂
You are correct of course about taking things for granted. Also the free samples that come in pretty much all packages. I understand it is in their interests but still....time factor, the extra viles.
I take it so much for granted that I had a row with a shop here in Dublin recently, after purchasing some items I wanted a pair of socks for free.... Don't know why security was called, honestly
🙄
They said they would go broke if they were to give freebies with every pucture. I got a refund on what I had just bought and black marked them in my mind (Which is all powerful)
Thanks alot @Ouddict .....you have changed my shopping habits....🤣

How much did these cost you?

Unbelievable, lucked out and won myoudshops recent giveaway! This will be my first Hydrosol spray and these woods will join my one piece of CK in my meager wood collection. I think this is the tipping point for me to figure out a way to heat and study wood. I can’t let this material sit around for long, there will probably be a Kinam heater in the mail for me within the next week or two haha. I really can’t put into words how wonderful the generosity of this community has been. Through ouddict and the members on here, I’ve met already so many amazing people in such a short time. Can’t repeat it enough times how the vendors here go above and beyond any other niche hobby or communities I’ve seen. I hope all the kindness and welcoming positive vibes I’ve received are returned 10x to the beautiful people who help keep this place alive.

Included were:
- 0.2g Meiktila Oil
- 0.2g Pahang Oil
- 0.2g Vietnam Beal? Oil (can’t read last letter too well)
- 1 Tola 1990 Tigerwood Dust
- 1 Tola 1991 Malaya Malaccensis Chips
- Papau New Guinea Bead material
- 10ml Palawan Hydrosol Spray

very nice! how much kyara note do you get from these vs dry woody?

Dry woody?

I get around a third kyara vs aromatic blend,
but the kyara note is like the sweetness of green oil kyara gently heated which shrouds the overall aroma, and the aromatic blend reminds me to some degree of a combination of Koshiboku, Kyara Seikan, and Tokusen Kyara Tenpyo.

It’s the overall blend that I love about this stick, not solely for the kyara.

Give @Rai Munir time to respond Nadeem. He is learning how to type on the keyboard using his nose, cause I'm thinking they look like they cost two arms and a leg to purchase...🙂
🤣🙏🏻🤣
Actually our respected Ouddict (Mr Nadeem) has all Oriscent, so now come what may, it will be nothing for him. So, now whatsoever is the amount, that HAS TO be miniscule for him, I am sure.

How much did these cost you?
By now, I have transferred around 1700 dollars. And still sandal is to be acquired.

When offered, it would be clear to me if I owe him more or more oils can be booked, esp the ones to be offered in future.

Next, breakup of per oil will be mentioned when these oils are offered. And of course, I will mention the discount if any coz I never ever utter the word ANY DISCOUNT. Bad habits.

One Malay is high end, and two are somewhat low priced.
Attar Nishigandha is there, which is a gift.

Shipping: The most difficult aspect of this great game to have a package from India. This time, a friend of mine carried it to Pakistan. Otherwise, two months before I paid 42k PKR to Customs Pakistan when the package was shipped through DHL. And that package was shipped from Dubai by Dr Prasun's friend, so that friend of his didn't write me about the shipping cost.

For some time I been on the hunt for one of the cheapest gems I've ever come across , Hikayat's "Seri Karas" (wild malaccensis Pahang , Malay) version 1 or 2. They threw in a sample of a the v2 with my first order from them & immediately I fell in love. I hit the owners back asap & asked if they had more for sale , they had more but unfortunately it was being used for a future blend we now know as "Karas Cologne". A year later (this past May) they created a Hikayat Facebook group & I inquired once again in the group if anyone had some for sale I'll take it. They tagged one of the owners (Arif) saying he might have some leftover from the Karas Cologne batches & sure enough he did ! Arif sent me a picture (below) to confirm he had 4 vials containing about a half gram each of SK V2...when I tell you I was happier than a pig in shit ! 2 grams 🥲 & he only charged me retail ! Anyway the orders locked in , paid for & on it's way from Malaysia as we speak , just wanted to share this success story with you guys lol
Shouts to Hikayat & Arif especially for looking out !

Hey guys , I was thinking about sampling some oils from E-oud/Fushigi & was wondering if their distillations are really comparable to Ensar's oriscents ?

& yes I know they allegedly distilled for Ensar that's why I'm asking. I've skimmed through some of the past threads about the different theories & speculations behind this subject.

I'm only curious about the oils , how they compare to oriscents & whatever else you care to share about their oils , thank you.
