I remember getting a box of Ten Pyo and wondering what the hell had happened. At some point they just switched to aloeswood, which definitely did not connect as well with the masala as kyara/kinam

I have EO Jamaican Ambergris ghalia attar on its way. Sample smells fantastic, but I don’t know what note is ambergris. At first I thought it was the frosty thick camphorous opening note, but I was told otherwise. I’ve smelt ambroxan, as well as fecal black ambergris, but never the higher quality grey ambergris. Any pointers on what to sniff for?

*NEW GEN OILS FUSHIGI/E-OUD* Brunei Kyara/Kyere 0.25g (Lovely oil with the smallish amount i put on twice yesterday) and a sample of Mysore sandalwood by Fushigi and some sticks and I also got a stainless steel prod that can be reused for oils since you just need to wipe it, if you really want, but no oil sticks to it at all, its kinda like the metal prod you see ensar using in his old videos discussing oud in his house. The steel prod is the best reusable applicator ive had and its free, all the oil gets on my hand unlike plastic applicators were SOME (tiny amounts ik but a tiny amount could be the difference between a stronger and weaker scent and you cant use it again and there is no scent or stickiness on the steel applicator from last nights use, very impressed) gets stuck to the plastic, and especially better than wood toothpicks, those are a nightmare lol.

The sticks are 100% Monkoh only, as they have quite a delicate scent, and I am guessing (not sure yet) that 35 sticks of Brunei Kyara and Nha Trang would be quite expensive to use in any other way, since for them to be as potent in scent in a room a few feet away from me (Japanese incense is fine with that use these ones seem more "new gen incense sticks", as well as how their oil is very new gen and clean as a whistle made in an actual clean, chemistry lab, rather than a normal distillation, either in the jungles or outskirts of jungles.

Nah, no swamp in v1 or v2. I find v1 more ethereal . V2 has this sweet incense copper opening , but nothing swamp like
Oh word that's dope. Also I think what I refer to as swamp some might refer to as "oceanic" especially if they like it. Just so we're on the same page I mean that swamp in Sumatra Essenza & Emperor Blue Sumatra & Mesouds blue Sumatra. Those are the only Sumatras I've smelled. Makes me gag even writing this 🤢 , thank you.

I feel you man. A bottle of sumatran oudh broke in my hand(one of those fancy bottles with weak glue), and the scent leftover was overwhelming. I was close to throwing up and even thinking about it makes me shudder. It was this sort wet stale swamp smell that came straight from the belly of a beast or in this case a swamp monster lol. Now that I think about it, I'd say it was somewhat musty as well. Corn smelling too... 🤮

Does anyone know if AA Royal Sumatra has that typical swamp note most Sumatras have ?
I have high grade Sumatra wood called Sumatora, I believe sumatora is basically a name for the highest grade wood from Sumatra and is used in Rikkokugomi and is A. hirta from Kangiiten and it is beautiful, zero swamp notes, only swamp notes i get from agarwood is modern day Maroke/Merauke. You put this Sumatora on a heater in tiny amounts and its creamy, human animalic muskiness with green forest tones. I cant see an oil made from a sumatran wood being swampy, unless they used swamp wood.
