EO's CPR 💔 to my heart and wallet.

Ensar Oud's Crime & Punishment Raspberry is in the house! Man was it hard to pry the bottle from the case.

First impressions, raspberry! It's jammy-sweet mixed with oud supporting it.

Got three samples, will review them separately next time.

Inbounds from Immortal Ouds. 1 tola of Prince of Cambodia which is from Koh Kong , 2017 distillation, split into 2 half’s, I’ll keep one as is and add around 0.4g of Siberian musk grains to macerate and see how it changes.
I’m most excited about the Laos oil, as I’ve never tried a Laos, what should I expect?

All mine baby. 🤩🤩
How is it?
DHL just rang my bell, with a sample set from @3elkhaldi

Just opening the package already greeted me with a delicious scent 🙂

Part of me wants to wait, let them settle for a few days, and only then try them. But part of me can't wait and wants to dive in, haha

Don’t you ever get decision paralysis? With orders like this i sometimes think “there’s no favorite, I want 250ml of each one next time!”

Ghazali is a favorite of mine. There is a nice story behind naming it, I'll share it with the review. : )

Lets see what'll happen once I've tried them all, haha! ;-)

My "process" of going through samples is pretty simple
1. Do I like this? (And do I like it over multiple wearings?)
2. Is it unique enough? (As in, is this not close to another scent I already have?)
3. Is this safe to wear around other people who are not into animalics and/or oud?

If those are all answered with a 'yes', then I'd be interested in picking up a full bottle.

If I like it, but it's not something I would not feel good about wearing in public, then I either keep enjoying the samples at home. Or buy a smaller bottle, and just wear it at home, to enjoy it myself

I have to admit, after putting out all the testers and taking a picture... I just had to spray Civet Cola on my arm

This is great man! It started very dark, then mellowed out, and slowly morphed in a sweet, fizzy scent

Its good that I'm working from home, otherwise people in the office would be wondering why I am putting my face in my arm and am smiling all the time ;-)

Laos can be anything from honey sweet, pungent fruity thai-like crassnas to weird super swampy, or cheesy, bright sawtooth spikenard tangy... all kinds of stuff in between - it's anyone's guess! I think most likely crassna, or occasionally sinensis? not entirely clear what species are found there beyond these

lol
the other day at a cafe, one of my friends took a really deep audible sniff from his hand as we were sampling a few oils...
I am sure someone there thought we're up to no good 😆

Give it day to rest, then try them out. I promise you it's worth the wait.

Perfume making materials arriving today - ck oil, rose absolute, pipettes

The ones i have have not changed much over the time i have observed them, but I've only been paying close attention recently and the oils that I have in quantities enough to sample regularly I haven't had for that long - less than a year - and as far as i know are "industrial" type oils.

I'm realizing it's been a little while since I've checked but I don't remember seeing a whole lot of development in Ejayb's original ck oil - that one was of the cassie / mimosa / violet floral type, the first one i smelled.

It's a good question and I'll be curious to see how these oils hold up over time. Sure would be nice if they improved with age...

Wore Casto Aroha the other day. Then the following day. I like it.
Same thing with Tobacco Pacifica. A few days in a row. I like it too.
Also Musk Melange.
I do like Civet Cola also.
My sample of Civet Coffee Cola is almost gone.
The sample with the least left, is Casto Aroha.
Actually, I've been wearing these samples almost exclusively since I got them just over a week ago.
I take breaks in between with my new bottle of Comme des Garcon's Series 4 Citrico.
It's not too heavy, and when I'm ready to delve back into these samples it's an easy switch.
