You're really getting stuck into this one! I've been doing the CK chunk in the tea light burner same as you. The chunk I have in it is pretty much spent now so I put a tiny dab of this CK oil onto the chunk and BLAST OFF!I have a bottle of the kyarashrine green kinam oil coming. I personally have found a fair amount of value in oils like this over the years. Kind of generic, kind of bland, not a complete oud / oud oil experience but still delivering some choice notes enjoyable on their own and especially blended / layered.
Drool!! 🤤🤤🤤My recent order from Kangiiten:
50g Vintage Tongan Sandalwood
10g of Dreams of Silk Road
14g piece of Hainanese Baotou
This makes me soo incredibly happy! I was wearing Oud Boran yesterday, and I just couldn't stop swiping it again and again. Not because it's weak but it's got this mysterious, sorta anti-septic vibe which some aged Thais pick up which I can't get enough of! So I thought about your comment on the thread for it, but stuff came up so I could respond yesterday. Suffice to say, I think this will rocket to the top sloths of your Crassna oils! There's a lot of complexity here, which honestly blows me away considering where its priced at, and how difficult its been to find Crassnas which approach the level of transitions this one has!Yeah baby!! Habzoud GAHARU UNO, BORAN and AL TAAJ.
Dude.. I'm very excited to try the Boran. I'm going to let them all rest for a day before I open them up but yeah I have a feeling I'll be ordering a larger bottle of it for sure. The description really nailed it for me with the mention of Tigerwood. Yum! GAHARU UNO we all know is out of this world and if you haven't tried it yet best get onto it. I know nothing of Al Taaj.🤩This makes me soo incredibly happy! I was wearing Oud Boran yesterday, and I just couldn't stop swiping it again and again. Not to mention, the other two you have are also bangers!
Very nice haul there. Have you looked into Habzoud Cambodi Smoke? Might be what you're looking for?Habzound ~ Gharo Uno
Oud Lab ~ Silani OG, Papua 2003 (second bottle)
Al Hind ~ unreleased Koh Kong
Kangitten ~ 3 different orders, the sticks, DREAMS of DALI description promises oudy barn, salivating for this. Dreams of silk road. Dreams of Ancient Palace. Hainan horseshoe chip. More Sandalwood.
Mesoud ~ More Pursat, Sumbawa Black Oud
Agarwood Indonesia, both sandalwood oils
Big game hunting still for dark SMOKEY incense-y leather cola but mostly smoke (natural) oud, attar, or perfume, easy on tobacco notes.. no ashtray.
you know what might really hit the spot for you is the Musk/Oud attar "Zumurrud" from Al Shareef. I'd be curious to hear someone else's reaction to that blend because the oud that makes up the body of it is quite distinctive in a way that feels very smokey and incensey to me. Smelled an oil like that a long time ago from a Singapore vendor QT Store - it was popular on forums, called "Oud Royale", was a smokey oil and said to be from Borneo.Habzound ~ Gharo Uno

Zumurrud is pretty interesting and would hit the spot, considering Personel's criteria, however I don't find it particularly "smokey" but on all other fronts there's no doubt it's "dark incense-y leather cola". It's also got this moist dirt like accord which recalls something Russian Adam mentioned musk could be like, "almost green, forrest like" which I never quite understood until wore Zumurrud.Big game hunting still for dark SMOKEY incense-y leather cola but mostly smoke (natural) oud, attar, or perfume, easy on tobacco notes.. no ashtray.

Al Shareef Oud Modhesh is a bit more smoke forward, but it's not nearly as cola rich as Zumurrud or even A'meen
