He has threatened to sue me on many occasions for asking him questions about his offerings and falsely accused us of undermining him to promote vendors on Ouddict (batshit crazy comes to mind). I am still waiting for the papers to arrive...

He's selling some fake kyara distilled oils also for 1000$/g. One where he calls it "shogun of Japan" and a Vietnamese one. OBVIOUSLY HE DOESNT HAVE A CLUE. I told him I am willing to buy 5 of them if he only sell me a .03g sample first of one of them. Of course he was not trying to do that. I even told him I would buy a swipe for 200$ where the swipe would be from a needle inside a plastic bag. Nope, he knew very well the lies he's pushing preying on the poor unsuspecting.

I don't really get into the story because I never ordered from them. However I saw on the internet the article they wrote to complain about the ouddict forum. I find it whining and if their oils are authentic then the connoisseurs will know the difference but apparently the quality is not the expected one... how to have confidence when the prices are in hundreds or even thousands of dollars and that they don't try to make samples to test?

I must say I was a bit reluctant to make the jump (an awful big jump) and make and order from the perfumist. As my knowledge is near zero in the matter of oudh, I was intrigued by how the perfumist presents his products.
But as we say, when it's too good to be true, you should run the opposite way, that's when you should totally snap out of any daydreams you have! 😅
What drew me first is what I've purchased from a friend of mine, (ancient musk, sweet tobacco, remarkable, hindi, extravagant sampler, musk sampler and the Messiah)
The thing is , for me, that one get the impression, through his claims, that the perfumist makes attars, maybe he thinks so as well and believes it. But I think he just makes perfumes. And instead of making them as sprays, he puts them into attar bottles.
I assume people buy them as they see these attars are "safe" to wear. Not agressive barnyard heavy weird etc. Much like mass appealing perfumes.
For a perfume, the products are fine, but as attars made 100% all natural etc etc I'm sceptic to be honest. They might contain natural ingredients but not totally 100% (I have all natural perfumes "near 100%" and I know when I smell one).
I've read the posts here about the perfumist and I saw a lot of connoisseurs have spoken about the whole matter in detail, especially the test labs and all of it.
For me, the perfumist makes perfumes and should reconsider the prices for that to be honest, but attars I don't know. I have some perfumes and attars from Al Shareef Oud, Elixir attar, Areej le doré, Sultan Pasha, Immortel Oud, Jinkoh store, Jungleoud, ...
There's a big difference to be honest!

This thread is interesting... after reading the whole thing I have some doubt that the claim of him being a scammer are accurate.
How can you doubt when almost everyone who wrote on this thread and bought from him said that he is a scammer?

Im mistaken, I read this thread a few weeks back and a lot of new information was posted since then. After going back through it maybe he is scamming. Here's a recap for anyone who might have just arrived.
Ouddict: co-founder tried at fayer and thought it was garbage.
Faizal_p: said it smells synthetic
Landscape of desire: had an allergic reaction
Noor ul arfeen: said they loved them
Uy.Ali: ordered, but cancled before it arrived
Makakilo: said oils are bogus
EJayB: said it was bad
RisingPhoenix: said it wasn't real
PersonelHigh: said he never opened the bottle because the smell of perfume was strong
yoob.ye: said he wasn't patient enough to wait for the order
HamzaAli: ordered perfume and thought it smelled cheap
language scent: said that someone named oudslut said it WAS really kinam oil.
So out of 9 people who actually received their order AND opened them, 7 people thought it was fake and 2 people thought it was real.

So about 77 percent of people said it's not good, and about 23 percent said it's good ?

why dont you buy some and let us know bro? buy the kinam oil 1000$/g and if it is some perfume attar then good luck trying to get a refund or to sell it but please do send me a sample as my curiosity succeeds me not in that i believe it can come close to being real but so that i can just see where this guy stands even as a perfumer

I won't be getting any with those statistics. When I typed in ouddict on Google the second thing that comes up is from him, it say "ouddict the sad truth" and it says a lot of stuff that is really convincing to a novice like me, I guess I'm just too trusting. I am glad I came across this thread because it did prevent me from purchasing his oil. I contacted them to ask and they told me that they were blackmailed to pay the vendors fee for ouddict forum. Im not experienced enough to know the difference if I got his oils, so I'm just trying to navigate all of this information and not get taken advantage of.

Other then posting on this site I have no vested interest in anyone here, nor do I know anyone personally. I have had the great pleasure of meeting up with @hedycent some time back last year I think but only because he lives in the same city as me...Dublin, Ireland.
However, between vendors on here and private sellers on here also, I pretty much stopped buying from others. Again the exceptions to that has been when someone here has recommended a vendor off site.
For example I have bought from distillers in India on the recommendation of @Tauhid Shaikh or other posters here. Sorry can't remember more names.
My point is this the only time I was scammed was when I bought from an Ebay seller BEFORE I realized this site even existed. This site is absolutely invaluable when considering Oudhs be it wood or oils or incense etcetra.....

My only suggestion to you would be to be a little cautious of anyone who has just posted one post wanting to sell you something that nobody here can verify. Even then this community has good deep levels all around and if someone here who is a regular poster had done business with them, that would help me in my decision.
That said, research out before spending and then reach out here before pulling the trigger on your hard earned money.
