I'm not sure where a review of somebody's soap goes but I'll put it here… @Goodness Nose sent me a bar of his vetiver soap which I have finally been enjoying. Really nice strong aroma, seems he was generous with the vetiver oil! Smells like a nice Haitian vetiver to me.
Probably miscellany of the day

I have got some KILLER ruh motia on my arm here - the stuff is so concentrated and evocative- it's like the aroma of summer compounded and folded over on itself. If you apply a big swipe it's too much but a tiny speck explodes and it's like being in Sicily, sitting in the shade in the afternoon downwind of a sambac plant. A lot of sunscreen in the United States seems to feature sambac adjacent notes, so to some degree also it reminds me of being at the beach or a pool, the aroma of sunblock and ozone and water and whatever flowers happen to be blossoming... carried on the breeze. Sublime and it is just begging to be combined with some sandalwood and /or salty ambergris.
And that is a serene heart, Jasmin sambac on a cool night surrounded by the flowering plant. I love it

Wow this brings back memories of family and friends getting married back home. First you smell the thick fragrant smoke from the woods and resins then it opens up in trails of sweet floral scent, then go into a blend of all smoke resins and floral this brought tears to my face. Another Master Piece brought to us by Master Perfumer Al-Shareef Oud.

Very humbling to hear about your experience. Enjoy brother.

Liberty Natural’s Indian Attar called Agar Musk. The agar note smells like a tradition Agarwood distillation, woody spicy balsamic rich resinous incensey like a Vietnam Oud. The musk is from Ambrette seeds so its a bit musty. And then there's the dilutant in this case the traditional sandalwood album. Not a masterpiece but traditional and pleasant. 7/8. Just 2 drops. Its nice to smell.

Messing around with frankincense extractions yesterday.

There are three levels of frankincense tincture:

Level 1. Tolerable (<10%): Slightly sticky, smooth emollient oily, fading.
Level 2. Irritating (10-15%): Persistent sticky messes with arm hair but clear and not collecting lint.
Level 3. Regrettable (>15%): A patch of persistent "environmental adhesive" that leaves you with dark splotches on your forearms from all of the dust and lint and debris it has accumulated over the last 24 hrs. cannot be removed by conventional methods

Lol

I have a kashmiri musk maceration of 1 year from jogi at 30% concentration. Yet it somehow is not all powerful. I wanted to give it a little kick so I added two pinches of JK tibetan musk to it which is very fecal. And lo and behold within a day the maceration smells buttery, musky, pheromonal addiction. Not sure how can it happen in a day. But this experiment worked amazing for me.

Here is fresh 15% sacra tincture. Irritatingly sticky, yes, but not regrettably sticky thank goodness.

Areej Galia today.

The scratchiness that it developed is just not going away. Not sure where it's coming from. I really enjoy how musk heavy it is but man, just doesn't hit the spot fully. Jasmine bomb, musk dominant, touch of rose and this other note which has to be coming from whatever pine Adam used here. @An Najwa did a better job with his last ghaliya release if you ask me. Will be putting this one up for sale or swap me thinks.

Ghaliya Banu Hashim @An Najwa
Blown away! This is elite level perfumery. Pure class! I got samples of Kishmir II and Khaltat Baghdad. Kishmir II is mind bogglingly good. I regret that I did not explore @An Najwa before. Ghaliya Banu Hashim is powerful, projects like beast and transitions all the time.
Musc fougere is so good! Gives borneo oud like nuances. Amazing quality!
