HabzOud - Al Hareer. I dont wear this often, I am still trying to get used to this HIndi oud, but I do like it and the more I put it on the more I start to like it more and more, and get used to this "desi butter" note, that to me smells like goats cheese or cheese that's went off, but I am starting to appreciate that note more, as it is quite sweet, and when broken down create an interesting scent.

I love the notes that are done in a silk like way, like the leather, I also got fleeting chocolate notes at the start. Notes of tobacco and high quality cigar smoke, with an agarwood note, and sometimes incense, notes of hay which remind me of walking along the country side in the summer years ago with my friends when we were all teenagers and dumb and doing God knows what lol 😉. Notes of dark, dark resin, woodiness, and a nice sweetness that gets sweeter and sweeter.

Good oil, and glad it was my first Hindi.

EDIT: It also has an overall feel and notes of the countryside, and Earthiness. And some fruity undertones.

EDIT 2: Ohh, now the deeper I am into this it is starting to have notes of sweet, sweet candy... amazing. This oil is super complex, I wonder @Habz786 is this WILD Agallocha? Also perfume-like notes on deep 1 place inhales.

Habzoud Xiang Shui on the right
Habzoud Raija Hijau on the left

I have been a little busy this morning, and didn't pay close attention to either one of them. Now that they've dried down a little I absolutely adore raija. It's beautiful sweet but a clear kind of sweet. Not sickly. If I smell my wrist from a distance I'd swear I'm smelling some beautiful delicate flower in the distance.
Xiang Shui has dried down as well and is not sweet at all. I'd imagine it's a more masculine scent than the feminine (on my skin!) Raija Hijau.
I do realize that oils can behave completely different depending on the skin, so it might not be so feminine on someone else's skin.
Xiang from Habzoud - incense of wood chips burning. Great Indonesian

Hijau- he sent a sample. Insane floral notes. All floral. It’s a perfume. Apparently it’s a Malaysian.

Taraweeh Cambodis from Al Hashimi

Cambodi Ateeq - high grade aged Cambodi. So complex. Hints of strawberry, incense, leather. So balanced

Thaqeel - amazing dark Arabian Cambodi with spice and sweetness. Projects so well

Kambodi Katheef - a thicker cousin of Thaqeel. Dense.

Beautiful high grade cambodis from Al Hashimi. Sometimes you want old school oils that project well.

Yeah, he sent me a sample of Hijau with my 2g of Zamarad 2. Omg, the florals are amazing, right? It took 2 years for him to source this wood. I am guying a gram when it comes out, 100%. Aquilaria. rostrata only grows in Malaysia, so yes it is 100% Malaysian.

This is such an amazing oil, its only 2 months old! Its the most floral yet green oil ive smelt, with low heat chip smell and so much going on, a perfume in itself. Smells like a Malay, Sri lankan and Indonesian combined.

I love it so much and I have only wore it once, it is an oil that you want to just keep forever but I will use it... but then it will be gone. When do you plan on releasing it and how much will it be for 3gram? Usually I buy 1.25-2gram of oils since they last a long time, but I do have 1 3g oil that is Thai Khiao, but I need to get 3g of this rostrata oil!!!

If it is super, super expensive though (which I would not be surprised as the chips are incense grade from a type of species that is nearly extinct, more so than malaccensis) I will probably have to consider myself defeated and buy 1.5g and wear it so rarely.

The oil will be priced at 500$ for 3g which is a bargain for the level of oil IMO, this will give any 1500$ plus oil a run for its money 😇. If anyone is interested in buying a sample or bottle before the release drop me a PM

a few days ago I wore Kedah Ateeq from Mesoud, which is an absolutely bonkers oil. Distilled in 1998, it's over 25 years old but smells fresh still, and weird. so, so weird. I've not smelled an oud like this before.
It's a bit off-putting at first, in a way that's actually not familiar to me but makes me think of, erm....sweet baby diapers. I honesty have no idea what these smell like, but that's what comes to mind! Takes a while for that to fade away, with this sweet golden aura (but very unlike new-age Hindis, which I also describe in a similar manner). To be honest I went to bed not too long after this initial scent started to change so yeah that's my really crap description of this oil

Even crazier is that 24hrs later I could still (very faintly, mind) smell it on the back of my hand, which is VERY rare for me nowadays.

I don't even know if I like it or not. Very weird.

Imperial Oud - Nha Trang Ultima

Alhindoud - Vintage Viet Royale

An oil that will broaden your horizon regarding nha trang oils. A vintage Nha Trang traditionally distilled. No cheese or funkiness as aging did its magic to this one. You get the traditional scent in form of hay, nuttiness and bitterness that adds to the legendary bitter/sweet interplay of Nha Trang oils and lending the oil a more bitter facet. Give it time as it blossoms more in the heart and drydown in comparison to the immediate explosion of Nha Trang Ultima.

Spot on brother, It’s quiet unique with respect to opening and after some time there you have it! The kinamic blasts that lasts until drydown.

This is one of my favorite mesoud oils in fact… 🙂

SULAYM Thai Khiao - opens up with beautiful jungle, rainforest-esque notes, aquatic notes of the rainforest, creating an imagery that I was on the shore of the jungle and slowly moving into the jungle as if I am some sort of hunter, notes of camphor create this effect as well as dark, dark resin, and a camphoric mintiness. About 30-60 mins in I started taking deeeeeeep inhales and also short, fast inhales until I could go on no longer, and it revealed that this oil smells like the agarwood it is potentially made from, definitely a plantation smelling wood, but the quality is of incense of the malaccensis tree. After doing that for a while, I got deeper in, I am stuck in the jungle, and the only thing I can smell is damp, wet, jungle with agarwood trees all around and sometimes a tree goes up in flames...

Lovely plantation/organic oud.

It's amazing how ouds can create images in your head, whether it be oil, wood or high quality sticks. I get more imagery (that is actually in my head) from oils and sticks than I do burning wood, but I do get similar notes but the imagery isn't as in my head as an oil, and to a lesser extent, a stick. Nothing against wood, I love it, I just need a sub 🤣.
