EO Kyara de Kalbar
AA Royal Maluku

Royal Maluku is out of this Galaxy. It smells like no other Taha oil to me. That's why it is my favorite AA. Had I smelled it blind I would have thought it was an upper tier Oriscent oil only that it is better than most Oriscents. Top-shelf stuff.

I have not tried all of Taha's oils, but is there any other oil in his repertoire that smells similar to Maluku? Or just get more of this? lol

absolute bliss of an oil. Exceeds the likes of Maluku LTD by miles. Like every other oil that I love, I used it up in a few months as I could not resist the temptation of swiping it every evening. Enjoy the experience my friend.

EO - Jaya

Very nice oil. Glad to get my nose on this sample.

The opening is pure green. Rounded sweet spearmint, reminiscent of mint chewing gum. Not piercing or sharp, but still tantalizing the nose with a slight tingle. The whole time you are smelling this mint it is accompanied by a deep wet earthy backbone characteristic of Papuan ouds.

It retains a candy like sweetness as it transitions into the drydown. A deep green fresh woodiness, bringing along some florals as well. The sweet resinous core has some similarities with Sri Lankan walla oils, but not quite the same.

To me, a unique oil.

@Sproaty thank you for your reviews of the oils I’m eyeing/curious for/have and don’t ‘understand’
Since you have Sultan Akhdar, how do you think it is compared to raja hijau? (Not sure if you have it?) I am really enjoying that one and was kind of sad I missed out on Akhdar. Somehow, my memory told me it was a hindi. 🤯😂😂
They are similar(ish) in the brightness factor 🙂
Wearing Maroke Royale by Sulaym tonight - very nice! It's not "dark" (in scent profile) compared to recent Marokes that I've tried

lazy to head woods decided to reach oils
Oriscent Papuya
Oriscent Oud Royale Maluku

Yesterday,
Al Shareef's Shah. Amazing Hindi, that drydown is what I crave. Smooth oil, very light on the barn at first and not animalic.

Attar Store - Terreganu Tigerwood. Light scent, struggled to get much of it so can't put many words to it. Even on a brief walk during the afternoon it failed to come alive 🙁

Today,
Rising Phoenix - Haflong Afterburner. Oof, this is hitting hard too. Has that amazing Hindi drydown, but is rather at the start barny to my nose (compared to Shah at least). Several hours in and that barn has died down a lot. I got asked by a colleague "are you wearing that fragrance that smells like an old museum floor?" Very surprising to hear that as I thought this wasn't projecting much and I had swiped it on 4-5hrs ago. I'm also wearing a few sprays of Amouage's Figment which is a super strong animalic/earthy scent and I figured it was that that she could smell, but nope - it's the oud!

Feel-Oud - Vietnam Royale. A really great oil but am not picking up on its scent much, even outside on a walk. Feels a little flat whereas I know it's very bright and effervescent

I wonder if the Hindi oils are just massively overpowering the others. I can't really notice it myself when sitting here

I put a dab of "economy lao" from Olefaktory / EJayb last night. I am kind of shocked at the performance - the opening notes are pretty typcial for a young crassna, but I woke up to the most delicious sweet woody aroma this morning - classic delicious tangy crassna still strong after 8 hours in the sack. Not bad for a $50/qt oil...

May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, and may God accept good deeds from all of us. Happy new year, health and well-being, and Eid Mubarak to all of you. Today, Mecca’s homes shine with a beautiful scent, one of the most beautiful scents that God has blessed us with, the scent of perfume, beautiful incense, and generosity.

Interestingly, in my martial arts class (about 11hrs after applying), someone asked if I'd been painting, which confused me.
She'd been to my house before and had smelled quite a few ouds and essential oils from my collection, so I raised the back of my hand towards her face and said "is it this you can smell?" and she said yes - it was the Hindi! Funny how people perceive it
But - from 2 women, both liked the drydown of a somewhat barny Hindi oil. Interesting 🙂
Revisiting Al Hashimi Akkad

Swipe…rich deep rounded balsamic oudiness,
with notes of cream, vanilla, spice, agarwood, with a hint of coffee and tamarind, chocolate, wood, caramel, TW95, resin, and incense.
Wish I hadn't sold mine!

Today I have on,
Habz' Maroke Qadeem - loving this oil! Very strong
Rising Pheonix - Haflong Qinam - no barn at all in the opening, very different to the Afterburn. This is getting eclipse'd by the Maroke tho, nowhere near as powerful as the Afterburn
