Hello ouddicts Members 🙂

Today I am wearing extremely special oils which I personally selected directly from friends distillers !

Malacc Al Naml 🐜🍼🍋🍦🥤
This oil comes from wild Aquilaria Malaccensis tree, naturally infected by Ants 🐜 and it’s unmistakable !
I am indeed crazy about Ant wood and the lactonic sweet milky lemon effect ! 🍋
A delicious vanilla and lemon cola makes me mouthwatering, it is brain buzzing without any doubt.
This scent is sharp like a katana and powdery like a narcotic Flower 🌸
Powerful and clean piercing notes hitting your nostrils and reach your brain to giving you energy !!

Al Faniliau 🍦🪵🍪🌰🧁🥥
From Borneo island, North Kalimantan around Malinau’s jungles.
Start with that special woodiness from Borneo, almost sandalwoodish warming effect and a blast of golden Vanilla not so sweet but very well balanced
A resinous Woodiness with Vanilla pods vapor which is very addicting !
Almost remind me white chocolate and cookie cream with nougat…
I get sweet almond and chestnut !
This is very gourmand Oud oil !!

These oils will be Released soon through our dear Ouddicts forum by myself Inshallah

I wish you all a very Gooud swipe 😇

Congratulations, but it isn’t allowed for our Resident Vendors to announce or promote their oils on the main boards in this way. Our members don’t want vendors flooding these areas with messages like this so please take note. And you’re not even registered as a vendor here yet.

RPP's 2018 Ngapali.

This oil is perfection to me. Great fermentation notes, but has a new-gen soul. Or maybe the other way around: an old soul in a new body... Deeply resinous and complex.

It's been a couple years since I've worn it, and in the opening I got musky chocolate notes that I don't remember being there before. The kind of chocolate notes you get in some deer musks.

yes, love the chocolate-gourmand notes I get from deer musk. It's crazy to think about it since we're talking about musk 😅. Some ouds are just fascinating.

OotD: vietnam organic oud - easy to wear, some barny 😉 notes but overall rough dirty spicy oud without depth our change, just screaming straight up into your face: OUD

Al Namir - Habz

Maroke Qadeem was probably my favourite oil of 2024, however Al Namir is following very closely! For a relatively young oil, Al Namir exhibits a luminosity, depth & roundedness, I knew this oil would sell out quickly, it’s unique with it’s perfumey, floral yet dark resinous profike.

It was a hot day in Melbourne today, 34 degrees Celsius yet with a single swipe applied to my forearm, Al Namir solidly remained without loosing any of its strength or vibrancy. The aroma developed in its complexity, becoming more resinous & sweet. All day I was catching the occasional waft of this refined beautiful fragrance.

Dark, yet luminous.
A short lived green herbal top note, before an array of tropical fruits & cherries, purple florals, a resinous Oudy depth, cool & warm spices, incense, a hint of Musk. Al Namir’s rounded mature sweetness is a thing of beauty, the deep complexity in spite of its age is a testament to the grade of wood & skilled distillation technique,
Superb! It’s exciting to know Al Namir will develop even more wonderfully as it ages.

His Oud's are like jewels to me. They all shine differently.

Super hoi an! One of my all time favorites. I've never felt like it was "perfect oud" in the sense that it's easily enjoyable without any effort. Like there are some imperfections but those are what make it interesting and beautiful. A little bit over developed phenolic notes, to the point where any more and it might've started to smell scorched. Maybe just a little bit more swamp then is necessary, because it's very much noticeable if you're tuned into it. The same oil with toned down phenolic notes and reduced swamp would be absolutely delightful, but it wouldn't be the super hoi an. The slightly over developed accessory notes actually create a kind of beautiful tension and almost boost the scent - a small amount is needed and it comes off as quite saturated like ristretto espresso... then it's like a flower opening up and unfolding over time as the slightly rougher notes peel back and all of the more delicate notes show up.

Swipe of "warming sun" cultivated hot poker induced sinensis oil from grandawood. Strange stuff - quite medicinal, and an odd note likely from soaking / fermentation that has some
overlap with the "halitosis" note of ambergris; not your typical sweet sinensis that's for sure. Like many of the other Grandawood oils I have smelled, there's nothing wrong with it but it's also not the kind of thing that I would want to carry with me or smell on a regular basis. I feel like this is one of the better ones from them that I have smelled but I'd hesitate to recommend it to connoisseurs here unless they were specifically looking for an unusual plantation sinensis.

Replying to myself here. After I wrote the above I considered removing it because reading it back to myself it seemed pretentious and just a bit wanky to say that. I left it up though because it wasn't something I even thought about that hard. I had looked over to where I display them after reading @Mousse de Chene review and there they all were, literally sparkling away from the light of a nearby candle.
