Hello Ouddicts 🙂

Today I swiped :
An Najwa Mighty Mizo
The Oud Lab Lao Xiang
AA Royal lao

Mighty Mizo is a beautiful clean Hindi with licorice, library undertones and powdery woodiness ! It remind me lightly Al janah in the sweet licorice aspect and Xiang shui in the library woody powdery aura !
This is a very well balanced oil with a complex aroma , very enjoyable … it’s longtime I didn’t see a clean Hindi like this … since Al janah series and Jinkoh Lokma …
Mighty Mizo is an amazing clean Hindi in the licorice way, not in the Sandalwoodish buttery way … I love it .

Lao Xiang got something special …
It’s a clean old oil that is smelling more malay than thaï… hard to describing… I got an olive note with a oudy resinous quality bubbling and remind me lightly some of Kanbi Koh addicting notes …
Lao Xiang got an old profile without barn but with an incensy quality… it’s like high temp heating Oud chips !

Royal Lao is a beast …
This oil got something special that I am not able to explaining …
This is satisfying… a soothing Barn which isn’t even Barny or maybe extremely light with a resinous woodiness that is found only in high grade oils … it is probably mix crassna sinensis i dont know … , but I can even smell a special Borneo incensy woodiness like a vanilla diesel I know it is strange but this doesn’t remind me any Laos oil I smelled before … maybe same way that Lao Xiang doesn’t smell like a thaï…
Royal Lao got almost Like a vanilla cola … 😅 very curious but I tried few Laos oils and never I smelled something similar …
An addicting oil …
To my nose this is The best lao oil I ever tried so far !

I wish you all a very Gooud swipe 😉

Leyte Reverie from @AlHind Oud on my wrist at the moment. I get opening notes of manuka, a lightly roasted quality, warm buzzy woody tang. Clean, herbal and woody with a deep resinous back. The aroma transforms somewhat as it shifts from manuka / woody / herbal to more resinous a bit chocolatey and dark. No off notes at all - quality oud!

And while I am on the topic of @AlHind Oud the Firdous Royale is absolutely excellent stuff. Has a nice "robusto" quality to the opening. Full dense dark robust oud, with a light touch of fermentation, and beautiful phenolic top notes that engage the senses, not an off note to be found anywhere. Smells dignified and like it was extracted from delicious wood. Reminds me a little bit of the style of the super hoi an distillation. HUGE FAN of this particular oil.

Here we go, shout out to @Xerohome

Initial impression is that there is a similarity to Oud SQ. Heavy on the floral which is amazing and there’s like this dry zesty note a little similar faizals Malay Ultima.

This is a first for me, oriscent/taiwanese (though if you compare, oriscent is definitely better than the generic Taiwanese take on oils) signature and Malay Oud are definitely one hell of a combo. It’s like sweet and salty dessert. I need more time but I am impressed and most importantly excited to enjoy this experience offering 🙂

Firdous Royale from Anas / @AlHind Oud just killed it yesterday. I applied a restrained swipe on the back of my wrist, and just could not believe what a treat it was to watch this oil unfold. I can't believe this is so recently distilled, it seems nearly perfect but I imagine over the course of the next year things will smooth and harmonize and so on. Just a touch of fermentation, slight phenolic notes sounding the depth that you get from a skillful burn, then a gradual settling and transformation into this dark resinous smooth satisfying chocolatey delicious Malinau style dry down that just kept going and going. This is a caliber of oud I just assumed I would never encounter first hand.

Love dark and resenious combined with woody. You're lucky.

Not diving into the sampler yet?
Nope. I was at the hospital last Friday and getting over general anesthesia this past weekend. And this weekend I'm doing my bills, so probably after that. My mood needs to improve a bit before my pleasure centers open up. But I'll keep you updated as I get to them!
