Been wearing kinam resin extract (alcohol extracted resinoid) as my go to oud for about a week now. It is not the same as the distillations or CO2 oils and has its own presence. Kinamic, soft, subtle, sweet, clean throughout with about the intensity of sandalwood oil, kind of the perfect daily agarwood for me because I don't live in an area where people are used to oud but I know anybody catching a subtle whiff will be wondering what smells so good. It's kind of a universally appealing scent. No trace of the salivary notes that CO2 oils can have no overblown melon or pungency or excessive sugary sweetness like the distillates can have. I still need to verify this but I was getting some really exquisite singing notes at one point in what would be somewhere between the heart and base note stage I guess. Not particularly loud but focused in a very beautiful sweet tangy and delicious way, I'm hoping that's a repeatable experience. If not, I need to figure out what I had layered it with that caused that…

It is never particularly intense but it has more complexity and richness than the wood chips themselves did, something comes out of the concentration, and the aroma eight hours later is still present on skin. i've been carrying this little bottle of it with me wherever I go. Great stuff, very easy to make… basically almost the simplest DIY extraction project, and one with a decent return on your effort.

Did you get it from Violet on Etsy? I bought a lot of oils from her during her sale, and 15ml of kinam extract was one of them for use in blends.

No this is my homemade stuff. Do you have a link? What did she charge for it? as far as I know I'm not familiar with Violet on Etsy.

Finally got my package from @Oudique in the mail, so the last three days I have been wearing the samples that I ordered:
Maraoki Qadeem (Papua) - Resinous Incense, pure, dark oud; since I had a limited budget I wanted to try three different ouds, this one is really dark and heavy, thick juice that barely moves in the sample vial

Samout (Kampot) - airy salty, leathery, woody, smoky, mossy; like a leather jacket that somehow washed up ashore and got stuck on a branch that alternates between being submerged in salty sea and drying in the sun.

Pattani (Thailand) - jammy sweet, wet jungle, leathery; really enjoyed this thai oud, a view in the deep and wet jungle that hides so many secrets.
As you might have noticed I used a lot of the same words from the website, BIG Kudos to @Oudique for describing the ouds as they really smell. That means so much to me as a beginner to know exactly what I am buying and wish more brands did this!

Nice descriptions. Samout is my favorite. I'm on my second bottle. ;-)
