It's definitely something I have considered. I believe that nothing can/should be wasted. Maybe with more time it will settle down? It was a good exercise anyway as it taught me a good bit about how it behaves so all is not lost. It has really enhanced the bits i'm not particularly fond of as you say so I'm unsure if I'll ever learn to like it. I think Siberan musk is just too strong for me. It's a real knock your head off musk.
Interesting. What type of oud did you use? Were the grains dry or wet?

I can help you dispose of it 🙂
All jokes aside, is it too animalic for you? What percent did you use for the musk?
I'll send you a DM brother. It is 100% too animalic for me. I used half a gram of grains into 2.5g of oud per advice that was given to me at the time unless I didn't understand that correctly. @Ouderriffic the grains were mostly dry and the oud I used was Arakan Classic by Annajwa. It's a dark incense, very slight barn opening oil. The grains have greatly enhanced the cacao and coffee notes.

That’s around 15% which is (to me) on the high end of the oud-musk maceration percentage. Which isn’t a bad thing 😂 I love musk

Yeah...it is SUPER strong! I could probably dilute it into something else but I'll leave it as is for now. Maybe I should send it to Russian Adam? Dude would use the entire bottle in one swipe! Lol.

The Oud Lab - Nitro Brunei

My wife is a big fan of the food network show Halloween Baking Championship. One of the judges is a chef named Carla Hall. Maybe a few times a season she will taste something so extraordinary that it causes her to stop in her tracks, look around, grin and proclaim “duuuuuuuuude!!!!!!”.

Well when I first sniffed the vial all I could think was “duuuuuuuuude!!!!!!”. The notes really do jump out and stick to your nostrils. It’s wild. And all day I’ve just had this beautiful honey floral oudy delight wafting in the air.

The Oud Lab is a great place to get oils and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences. My other favorite is Lao Shan which is an amazing wild Thai oil.

This oud is a time capsule, it bring me back in 2016 when I smelt my first Ceylon oud from IO.

Just arrived today! This is a beautiful vintage Malaysian I am very happy with! Chocolatey and smooth with that addictive incense note that wafts through the air around you. Love it! Even better with the 55% discount from the Encore sale a couple weeks ago. I am just sad the parcel didn't contain the free 1gr of Laos Chi Nadeem had mentioned was en-route to their shipping agent, so I am hoping he will still help me out with that. 😔😉😄

Overall, amazing oil at an amazing price!

This smooth creamy vanilla kalimanantan oud fits very nicely with the last sun rays of the saison in Paris.
