Malaya Atiq by Al Hashimi (@Al Hashimi)
Just arrived today! This is a beautiful vintage Malaysian I am very happy with! Chocolatey and smooth with that addictive incense note that wafts through the air around you. Love it! Even better with the 55% discount from the Encore sale a couple weeks ago. I am just sad the parcel didn't contain the free 1gr of Laos Chi Nadeem had mentioned was en-route to their shipping agent, so I am hoping he will still help me out with that. 😔😉😄
Overall, amazing oil at an amazing price!
All we need now is @mandeel!Jazak'Allah khayran. With Farid on board, it will be like we back in 2016 !
Wow, that is awesome! Thank you Nadeem. I definitely appreciate it very much 😊The Laos Chi is on the way plus another oil as we like to bribe our customers with free oud when we mess up which is a bit too often for my liking. 😅🤦🏻♂️
beautiful bottle!Again today it is kinam extract #2, the small sugary batch of extract. One thing - don't know if anyone else experiences this, but my "daily carry" chooses me, not the other way around. I don't pause and reflect and decide which material I want to bring with me - it's always 100% clear which one it is that has to be in my pocket at the start of the day. there's no intellectual or rational/logical process involved. I'm not sure what's so compelling about this stuff, I think the fact that I can smear it on and get a nice kinam hit whenever I want while knowing that I'm not imposing anything on others... I think the sandalwood level of projection and silage is what I'm most comfortable with. Also I'm just kind of obsessively trying to understand it since it's my extraction.

Beautiful bottle indeed! The oil and reflection is marbling like a golden syrup. Man, I bet that smells really good!Again today it is kinam extract #2, the small sugary batch of extract. I might try the Burmese. Has anyone else given that one a go?
If you had to pick between Cambodi Koh Kong and Cambodi Khas from AlMokhlif Oud which one is more of a classical, or the sort of oils that's got complexity and layers, the wow factor, according to your tastes?AlMokhlif Oud - Cambodi Koh Kong
This is one of my favorite ouds. It has a velvety sweetness of dark fruits and honeyed resin, underpinned by earthy wood, soft leather, and a subtle smoky warmth that deepens with age. View attachment 50239
Cambodi Koh Kong. But I only tried the latter once. Maybe it will grow on me. But the Koh Kong has more beautiful notes. Khas is more classical. If you had to pick between Cambodi Koh Kong and Cambodi Khas from AlMokhlif Oud which one is more of a classical, or the sort of oils that's got complexity and layers, the wow factor, according to your tastes?
