@Joe Dhul Q is a sweeter version of Aroha which im not a big fan of. It smells like standing next to a bonfire in the rain too much harsh smokiness, ash and chared wood for my liking, however it would work well in blending.

Actualy I smelt Ahora Kyaku from a sample and I really liked it 😱
Did i try Dhul Q when we met or was it Dhul Kifl ?

Yes i wonder also ,is it from a specific wood u get that or how they do it,is it naturally
Something natural is meant to be present in all, and is destined to exist in all. While it is not the case. The rest is olfactorial preferences. Second, the smoke from agarwood is not like the one in oil being referred to.

That smoke in oils can be nice, less nice, or no nice is no issue. For some it is mesmerizing, and for some it is disappointing. Once, I liked it. But burning wood made me run away from such thing in oils.

That's it. That smokiness appears to be just the burnt wood chunk lying there. Oud smoke is not at all like that, in my opinion.

Would you explain a bit the last part of the post? Less water?

Basicaly, you heat the pot with fire source to distil the oïl from the wood. The less there is water, the more the wood burn Because of the heating source. The more there is water, the more water boils and heat the wood.

I hope I was understandable 😕

IO Nagaland Imperiale,

I don't need to bother descriping it
just copy/paste what I've said about Assamugu Senkoh:

"Filter Chamkeila to get rid of the noises and put it on steroids then add a spoon of delicious rice pudding garnished with drop of rosewater, dash of cardamom, and sprinkle of bread crumbs on top and you will get an idea about how AS smells like.

The milky metallic 3D sweetness of Nagaland, the delicate leathery dry earthy hayness of Assam, and the cool minty woodiness of Hainan in a bottle.

Addictive..."

Very close to Assamugo, just replace the cardamon with almond oil, tune down the sweetness a little bit, replace the delicate bay leaf leatherness with earthy elegance, and add few drops of refreshing oud vitamin C.

Absolutely addictive complex multifaceted delightful oil, can't wait to try other IO higher grade oils...

Night swipe.....
Feel Oud Kaosan
High grade Thai oil
A co-distillation of Khao Yai Mountain and Southern Thailand agarwood.
The Southern Thai is almost like A. Malaccensis.

Smells like a fresh tree amidst a flowery garden. More oudiness and resinousness than your typical Thai. It hasn’t changed much in these past few years.

Thank you for this post:Inlove:

Btw, the last time I swiped Chamkeila, it made me think of Assamugo Senkoh.

and now you are yelling at me
 No, not at all, my respected Joe.
I will take it as a sign of affection :Inlove:
:praying: Yes, it is sheer affection.

and also learn from it :Geek:
It is your greatness; otherwise, I said those words of mine are 'subjective'.

@Al Shareef Oudh rightly said that cultural differences lead to different expressions.

But, believe me, burnt wood smoke is there in those oils, not just in synthetic perfumes😛.
