Qing and Hindi Gangaridai by @RisingPhoenix - I've had the Qing for just under 2 months and it's changing, it's lost a little of the sharpness that it had initially (which put me off a little - the older 2016 batch felt much richer). Nice to see it change 🙂

The Hindi oil is, to me a standard Hindi, nothing really unique, but very smooth and refined and lacks roughness (and not 'barn' so to speak).

I've not long swiped and can't remember how it dries down

I can't really add any more to the official description , which is spot on.
This is very high quality (probably the highest) oud oil.
I found it hard to pick out notes due to the effect it has on your brain😕 more of an experience than a scent.:Geek:

A lot of good things have been said about this oil. What i am really curious to know is, does this oil represent the best of oud in general or it represents the best of its region? Is it a balanced oil?

This is very subjective, in my opinion it is not my favorite scent from an oud, but smells like the highest quality and refined oil I have smelt, particularly the way it make you light headed. I don't like to put oils in a box ie region, although this can be helpful at times, in this case I haven't smelled enough oils or wood from this region to give an informed answer. I would tend to say the best oud in general as some parts of it remind me of elements of Chinese and Vietnamese oils, even Cambodian. Everyone has their favorite profile but some oil seems to embody the essence of oud. I am not sure of how you mean balanced but I will say yes. It has quite a piercing quality, still a young oil which should mature nicely.

Thank you very much for your response. I know my question was pretty vague but I got my answer.

Morning Swipe - IO Ceylon Royale II

have you tried Ceylon Royale 1?
ugh...tempted by these new AA oils. hmm!

swipes tonight, Agar Aura - Koh Kood, Purbakala, Mardelong and Ensar Oud Jing Shen Li
KK was almost unswipeable, dipped in the applicator, rubbed on hand...and nothing! It had solidified in the plastic container :O
