@Dan how is royal maluku
When I took the first whiff of the sample vial... I said to myself it's the best Oud I have experienced till date... though this was a month back... now this is developing into something even more special .... I keep taking mini swipes to see the development... taha has released Malaya and Maluku atleast 4 months earlier and it's better to age it more to see the best days of it ...

@Dan what were your thoughts on the Burmese and Ceylon Royale II from IO?

@Dan or should I call you the fragrant man you make my day with one of your post :
« It’s an oud which an Arab would pay so much more for ... Arabs love the viscosity to be high ... the longetivity to be more ... the smell to be sweet ... »:Inlove:
ما في احل من العود سيدي
Haha I remember this one ... I was just trying to explain my experience with EO Oud Extraordinaire to a brother who asked..

I'm not fragrant man just a humble guy who is too new to the oud world ... journey has started [emoji4]

Ceylon Royale II I'm surely going to buy a bigger size for this one .. very clean Walla Patta distillation...I dont get loud etheral feel to the openings which SL profile usually has.. instead its a top super clean oil and gives u an Oudy vibe... if u like Walla Patta profile u should atleast sample this.

Just to clarify I have an unreleased Burma oil by IO which is Burma Imperial. I have yet to try the Burma Citron the released one.

Burma Imperial is different my first experience with Burma was EO Oud Zacharia which is classic this is so much different (in a good way) from OZ ... I'm yet to get my head around this one ... may need a few more wearing...

Morning Swipe: EO Borneo 3K V.3

First few swipes of this I wasn't amazed or wowed ... may be the expectations of being a B3K was greater than the actual performance.. now its been a month and this oil is still not up there with my Surriranka Senkoh or my Hainan 2005 or TWR. But I've started to enjoy it far more than what I did earlier. At the price point I think it's a great oil and I think itll only get better..

Hello Bryan i am writing this after 2 wearing ,want to do one more wearing but uptill now , this Oud has projected smokey fruity and a metallic personality..the fruityness is in between but they are subtle, in the sence its not like passing by a fruit market but like passing by a well ventilated home kitchen where fruits are kept 😀 the metallic tone was a bit more prominant . i did three thin swipes first time and 2 another time so averaging it had moderate sillage and lasted approx 7 to 8 hrs .
Ill update this post after atleast one more wearing 🙂

IO Sasong Sungsud

To me it’s a complex oil
be it auxiliary or intrinsic

This is one of those oils that as it dries down, a reapplication of moisture brings it back to life.

Some oils don’t do that.

I must have thirsty skin, and should try what others have done by applying a layer of moringa oil before I apply a swipe of oud😉

Woundn't that alter the smell ? How about bees wax or vasaline.
