Feel Oud Sumatran Green Chocolate

It must be over 4 years old now.
There’s a Sumbawan vibe.
I would love to heat a chip of the wood used for distillation, I guess that’s a distiller’s privilege.

Friday prayer Scent : Fragant Harbour Imperial

Oh!! That green honeyed petrichor opening. The perfect build up for the Kinamic note in the mids and dry down on a layer of pure oudiness ....

If I have to use only one Sinensis base oil this would be it ...

IO Ceylon Royale 2

I detect the soak, around 1%, and it rides the top notes, so it’s quite volatile as well, I can’t place the note, but it’s not barny.
Walla Perfume!!!
Much to like with what Walla offers, almost candylicious.
I now have 7 bottles of Sri Lanka oud, they are all a nice part of my stash:praying:

Once again I am here to shout the virtues of super hoi an from imperial oud.

This oil... I would not have thought I could even get something like this 10 years ago. I’ve got samples of oils at 4x the price that are on my “lower shelf” compared to this oil. Example: “royal kinam” is nice of course, another decent sinensis in my stash. If could only pick one sinensis oil, the super hoi an wins by a long shot. More lacquer and kinam, less carrot seed, petit grain and Nagarmotha! Epic.

It is a classic showing the funk of lightly fermented wood and a smooth transition to this great candied kyara type dry down. Wow! Again an oil best applied in light dabs - this is a very pungent oud. I find the heart to be a bit too intense to apply a full swipe - like music turned up too loud, nuances are lost even as new things are appreciated at this greater “volume”.

If an oil can be used with tiny swipes, then it should last twice as long, making it an even better value$$

I followed your lead and scored a spare bottle also
.......we’ll be in good scents for long long while:Whistling:

I will also swipe Super Hoi-an today.

Now....all I need is an Hoi-an incense for the burn:Cooler:

Indeed it should last longer, but the problem is I can’t keep away from the bottle and it isn’t going to last long enough.

I am going to have to make a dilution for daily use at some point both to explore its more subtle nuances and also to make the bottle last. Not sure how this oil will respond to dilution but I am hoping this is one that “opens up” when diluted in alcohol.
