Kilatan from Al Hashimi
Finished off my sample today and I am once again blown away by the ability of AH to bring such amazing oils at a price where I have to order more then just a standard bottle. Things like this sellout fast so before I sat down to write this but after my early morning swipe, I ordered 2 bottles to make sure I didn’t miss out. I feel this is currently the best priced Wild oil on the market if anyone is looking for a next level wild oil without breaking the bank here it is!

Kilatan is awesome! it's easy on your nose and wallet but smells very beautiful. not very complex though.

This is my SOTD too. Vibrant spicy resinous and juicy.

Oud Royale Sri Lanka on my left
Fahad on my right

Oh brother. Do I have to choose?! No. I don't. Fahad takes Sri Lankan the full bodied vanillic creamy route giving any Borneo a run for it's money.

Oud Royale feels like it opens more like a very traditional oud - feel like this would heavily appeal to a middle eastern buyers pallette. This must have been ever so slightly fermented or soaked prior to distillation. I get a darker muskier incensy vibe. This feels more targeted - directed. Almost sculpted in aroma. The only thing you could knock about it is the upfront slight lactic tone or barn (I hate to say this bc it's really not barn at all) but something in the opening might not pass "the mom test" (yeah - stealing that from some tea reviewer guys on YouTube - says a lot in 3 words lol). But yeah oud Royale is amazing in the dry down.

Vs Fahad - which is far less restrained, subdued, or coordinated. Not in a bad way AT ALL. think if you gave a toddler carte blanche with some buckets of paint filled with all the Oud colors of Sri Lanka and told them to go nuts! And they just said sure! And basically Jackson pollocked a vanilla backbone all over the place. Far more opened up and airy, more diffusive and wide open. Bigger. All the incense you can think of - but light and middle shades of incense against a backbone of creamy florals and ocean breeze.

I want more of both.

But in a nutshell - what im getting is - Oud Royale Sri Lanka - polished, and formal (ish). Fahad, playful with volume for days (coloring outside the lines kinda thing)

Oudbase Pailin. the last swipe
I think I used this last drop for about three weeks. I was stingy to use it like an almost used up toothpaste. :Roflmao:

it reminds me of a dried hay bale.

ASO - Al Malek Al Ceeni

This is top shelf oil from this house.

I've tried a few chinese oils with different distillation. Ceeni stands out from others on sheer quality of wood, age etc

The honey laced minty opening with whiffs of cinnamon ... there surely some floral play then it settles itself well how a top Hainese settles...

The top notes are a show stopper for this one 100% feel I'm actually heating some old Hainan wood..

I hadn’t worn any of my Ensar oils in a while so I felt I should go all in.
I went back to to my oldest oud to see what’s what after a good long run of fresh oils.
Oud Royale No 1
F@#*ing ridiculous!! It opens so powerful with incense vanillic powdered sugar on top bliss!
What’s this? The deep middle Notes as the actual dry down occurs it’s so deeply Oudh almost animalistic but then hours later it smooths out into this sweet Amazing I don't know what to call it!
This is oud perfection and I want to say thanks to Nadeem at scent legends for the opportunity!
